Dalmacija Sunny Hotel by Valamar

We travelled here for 4 nights last week, to celebrate a friend’s 50th birthday. We were super impressed with the hotel - it is definitely worthy of more than a 3 star. We stayed in a Cherry on Top suite which was awesome and more than adequate space for 3 of us. The breakfast was of high quality and plentiful, with the option of pink prosecco thrown in! All of the staff were super helpful and friendly, but our stand out staff member was Antun at the pool bar. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome - he’s a real asset to the hotel. We’ll definitely be back - a little hidden gem!

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights at the end of may. The hotel is in a great location with lots of shops and restaurants surrounding. here is a convenience store located outside of the hotel for people like me who forgot to pack suncream! A highlight of this hotel was the convenience. I enjoyed how close everything was in this hotel. All of the leisure areas like the pool and the beach were very close together. There is a beach bar and also a pool bar situated around both of the pools. My favorite section was the hot tub area which is located just down from the pools. There are two hot tubs for use and were open from 8am-8pm when I visited. Another highlight of this hotel was the food for me! The food was very high quality and the meals were outstanding. You get a wristband which acts as payment and also your room key which was convenient! The breakfast was a buffet and had a range of options for all appetites. There was cooked breakfast and continental with a lot of fresh fruit. There were also veggie options and even gluten free bread/pastries on offer . With the half board, I enjoyed the flexibility of being able to choose where to have lunch/dinner.. For lunch you had the option of an a-la-carte style menu with a variety of options, which was also available for dinner. Also for dinner there is an option of a buffet offering meat dishes, pizza and some local dishes. Additionally, we ventured out one evening to a restaurant which was part of their sister hotel. You do have to pay for this separately but as guests you get 10% off your bill. The restaurant is called La Pentola and is classed as an Italian restaurant but had a range of meals - I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you get a chance! This was located around a 5-minute walk from the hotel and is set on the beach with incredible views. The room itself was on the smaller side however it was perfect for us 2 for the stay. We were on the 10th floor and had amazing panoramic sea views - which was the perfect view to wake up to each morning! There is also a games room in the hotel with some arcade games, ping pong, pool table and football tables. There is also play stations available to play. The staff at the hotel were excellent too! Overall I would highly recommend this hotel - I wish we had a little longer there! One thing I would highlight is that the hotel is a little far out from Split airport, we had booked a shuttle transfer and took around 2 hours so definitely recommend getting a private transfer!

A very good hotel with amazing service! Can’t believe it’s only 3 stars! Should be at least a 4 star hotel! It had everything you need, and more! ❤️The breakfast buffet was outstanding either so much to choose from. The staff was very friendly and very service minded! The rooms were very nice with view to the sea,and mountains best of both worlds! Access from the hotel to a small beautiful beach with a bar , with lovely Croatian beer and lovely drinks and passion spritz ❤️ And a play area with flipper, ping pong, billiard plus several other games! It’s also very dog friendly! The evening buffet was also very good! Highly recommend this Hotel! We travelled with Apollo and we got voucher every day worth 50 euros, that you could spend on the hotel for food and drinks, plus at the beach for sunbeds and drinks ❤️ if you didn’t use it it went over to the next day. Big plus to Apollo! ❤️

Staff were all super friendly and can’t fault the service during our stay. Buffet food for breakfast and dinner was pretty good standard as buffets go - the flexibility with the half board is great. You can also go to breakfast more than once if you want so it was nice to grab a coffee first thing and then head back for some food a little later (or vice versa!). Pool area and sun beds were great, as was the service in the pool bar - the club sandwich was lovely for lunches! The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the room, there was very little storage space with no wardrobe or draws so you effectively couldn’t unpack for the week. The air conditioning also didn’t go below 23 degrees Celsius so we found the room quite warm during our stay!

I am here now 1st night ....so far horrendous 😕 No sound proofing whatsoever..can hear everything from neighbours either side and above. Talking loud. Scrapping chairs on floors since 3 0clock am...after a very early start yesterday alli want to do is sleep..no chance
