Fabulous hotel, very clean, all staff were superb and couldn’t do enough to help the you. Very courteous and polite at all times. We had a junior suite which was super and our ensuite had his/her basin and was a very good size with a walk in shower. Dining experience was exceptional with a huge choice of food for all meals. Pool area was immaculately clean with plenty of loungers and towels were provided.

We stayed in late March and had an enjoyable stay. The staff were great especially in the main bar. All the restaurants are good except Pico Negro where the staff struggled to understand English and describe their dishes. One big issue for us was guests drying towels on the balcony railings, the hotel should stop this it isn’t Benidorm in 1970. Other than this a very pleasant stay

Bought an all inclusive day pass for this hotel for myself and 3 friends early March. Positives... Staff in reception and pool bar excellent. Drinks here were first class. Pool area spacious, lots of sun beds that weren't stacked on top of one another . Negatives.... all in the restaurant. Set out like a canteen, not what's expected at this star rating. Food was well set out. . Starters were good , lots of variety but the main courses were atrocious . Dry meat, lukewarm food, struggled to put z meal together. The drinks that were served were lukewarm, wine and water. Restaurant was almost empty but no one cleared our starters or main plates away till we asked. This was not a cheap day pass but didn't feel we got value for money.

ABOUT US - We are a young couple in our 20s who wanted to book this for a relaxing pool/beach holiday and for Siam Park! - We stayed at this hotel for 7-nights and were bed and breakfast only. LOCATION - We booked this hotel primarily for the location as it is in Costa Adeje without being in the centre. We were really happy with the location and would definitely return to this area again, however, it is on a hill so would not be the most accessible for those who have any mobility difficulties. This wasn’t an issue for us however and there is a side entrance which is easier to access in which you enter/exit from the pool. We used this entrance for the whole holiday as it was much easier, but does still involve a bit of uphill. - There are a few small shops nearby, we would often walk to the HiperDino in the Duke Shopping centre as we found it to be the easiest to get to. ROOM - We stayed in a Junior Suite. We did not choose to have one of the Level rooms. - The room was very nice and clean. The beds were very comfortable also. We had two twin beds which were right next to each other to form a double bed, however there are wheels on the bottom of the bed so did find they would move around sometimes when sitting on the edge and we would have to push them back. - The bedroom was tidied everyday by the hotel staff, we never had an issue with this. - There were some slight issues regarding products provided, such as the conditioner in the shower was completely empty (we bought our own so used this, but it would have expected it to have been filled at some point during our stay but it was empty for the whole holiday!). We also found the toilet roll to be of poor quality for a 5* hotel. It was cheap Scott toilet roll that I would expect to find in a Premier Inn. Does the job, but you would think there would be a better quality paper. - There is a minibar in the room, however the pricing of this was unclear as there was no price list anywhere in the room or on the hotel app. We had read online that the water is the only free item (as we were not all inclusive), so we avoided having anything other than that. - On our very first night we were greeted with a humongous moth! Luckily the local shops have Raid spray, so we managed to use that to get rid of it, but this is something to be aware of. Not an issue with the hotel itself, just to be mindful about maybe packing some if you don’t like insects! FOOD AND DRINKS - As we chose bed and breakfast only, we primarily ate out for our meals, however on the first night we chose to try the buffet at the hotel as we were tired from our travel. Unfortunately, it was incredibly disappointing. There is a wide variety available, but the majority was poorly made. - We started with the fresh seafood and charcuterie selection which was good. There was a wide variety of shellfish including whole small crabs. They provide crackers and pickers for the seafood at the area where you plate it. - The main hot food area appeared to have a good variety. We chose to try the veal which came with gravy. The veal was incredibly dry and the gravy was cold. We also tried a spinach gratin which had an incredibly strong spinach flavour. We enjoy spinach and eat it very frequently, but it tasted horrible. - Perhaps the most disappointing section was the dessert. It was a beautiful display of cakes, cheesecakes and ice cream. However, we chose the apple cake which was very watery, and the cheesecake had ice inside. It was very evident that all of these desserts were frozen and either defrosted or in the process of defrosting whilst out for people to eat! The ice cream was cheap quality and had artificial colours and flavours. - Needless to say we did not try any other lunch or evening meals at the hotel, and we are unable to comment on the other restaurants the hotel has. Although we know these ones you had to book in advance. - On the contrast, the breakfast was fantastic. There was a great selection of cooked breakfast and continental. I had no real complaints with the breakfast and enjoyed all that I tried. - We did not have many drinks at the hotel, however found them to be expensive for what they were. The strawberry daiquiris were 12€ versus 8-9€ in nearby cocktail bars, and I found them to be less enjoyable at the hotel. If you are doing all inclusive then it is probably worth having the drinks at the hotel, but otherwise I would suggest going out elsewhere. STAFF - The majority of staff were helpful and friendly. I had no complaints as a whole, but did have a few odd encounters/moments. - On our first night we had a knock on the door at 9pm from staff to give us a robe. I did not mind but found the timing very strange as we had arrived around 3pm, so did not understand why they came at 9pm to deliver a robe we had not requested. - During the buffet evening meal on the first night, we had gone up for our final course of the night and on our return found that our drinks had been taken away despite neither of us having finished them. We had left our bags at the table to indicate that we were still dining, but assume they thought we had left. It was a bit disappointing nevertheless. - The final confusing issue was when we were checking in and out. When checking in, the hotel porter offered to take our luggage into the luggage room whilst we checked in. We accepted this, however we only took around 5 minutes to check in so went back to collect our luggage quite quickly. When the porter returned to take us to our room, they returned with someone else’s luggage, despite us only putting it away 5 minutes before. We obviously informed them and it was no issue getting our luggage, but we just found this a bit odd (although amusing!). When we arrived at reception to check out, we had our suitcases with us and one of the hotel porters offered to take our suitcase into the luggage room again, however we declined this as we did not see the need when we would just be getting them back out in a few minutes and did not want any mix up. We don’t think they understood when we declined, as they took them and put them to the side, for us to then pick them up a few minutes later. We wondered if they thought the luggage could get in the way, but it is a very large reception area, and was not busy at the time, so it just felt odd that they took them just a few metres away just for us to go and get them again. POOL - The pool was very nice, it was large and had plenty of sun loungers. There were never any issues getting a sun lounger, and the pool was never crowded. On the cloudy days the pool would feel very cold, however on the sunnier warm days the pool temperature was fine. - The only issue we found with the pool was the process of getting towels. On arrival the receptionist will give you a card/ticket per guest which you exchange at the pool for a towel. When we arrived at the pool it was unclear where you collect the towel from. It then became apparent that you had to ask one of the lifeguards in a room next to the pool bar for this, which was no issue. The only issue we did have is that the lifeguard would not always be present, so found ourselves either without a towel for a portion of the morning or we would just reuse towels from the previous day. It did feel strange and felt as though there was a lack of trust with the hotel and the guests. We assume there have been previous issues with taking towels, however we found this method of towel distribution quite inconvenient. ACTIVITIES - On arrival you are given a timetable of activities taking place, however these are all exercise, yoga or music activities. You can hear the music in the evening on the terrace/balcony or watch it at the bar. It is very enjoyable and the acts are very good! We did not take part in the other exercise-related activities as we weren’t as bothered as we would walk a lot during the day to and from the beach so too tired to do so and therefore unable to comment on these. - We did wish there were other activities such as quizzes or bingo for example! But it was not an issue, just something to be aware of. OTHER - Although not associated with the hotel, we did go to Siam Park on one of the days. There is a free bus opposite the Duke Shops which is a 10 minute walk away which takes you to the park in 10 minutes. The bus was 20 minutes later than advertised on the Siam Park website, but handy to have it for free near to the hotel! And it is very enjoyable if wanting to venture away from the hotel for some fun! - We went to both the Fanabe and Duque beaches. The Duque beach is smaller, but very nice. There did not appear to be any bars on the beach, but you can pay to use the sun loungers. We mostly went to Fanabe beach as it was bigger and had more to do. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who will come up to you whilst you are lying on a sun lounger asking if you want to buy fake designer sun glasses, handbags and towels. There were also people handing out leaflets for the massage shops on the beach. This was a nuisance, but they would leave you easily after saying no. CONCLUSION - The location is fantastic and the room is comfortable and clean. - Our main issue was that this did not feel like a 5* hotel, it was 4* at the very most. - We would definitely return to the area, however would rather stay at a cheaper 4* hotel if we can have a similar experience for a cheaper price.
