Absolutely disgraceful hotel. Just checked in after having 5 nights in Formentera. Offered an upgrade to our room which we took & agreed to pay more so we could have a suite with our kids & not separate rooms. We were told on check in we had the choice of 4 pools to use. Went for lunch at the pool bar, good food €250 for 5 of us. Then went to get sunloungers by the pool & were told we couldn't use the pool we were at because it was exclusive for Mondrian guest (hotel next door) even though its basically all in the same area. Went to the next pool & all beds reserved. I asked to use them & was told it would be €70 per adult to use the beds 😱 We've just spent €3,200 on a suite for 2 nights!!!! & also have to pay to use the pool??? wtf?? what hotel does that? Have stayed in lots of incredible hotels & nowhere charges you to use the pool if you are staying there! The free pools to use are not as nice, crammed & one pool so shallow the kids cannot swim in it so pretty useless. To be fair the room is lovely but nothing like the website portrays. The pool areas have yet to be renovated like the rooms have & are dated as is the outside of the hotel. Glad i'm only here for 2 nights. Totally overpriced but thats Ibiza I guess. Thought this hotel was going to be 👌🏻 so very disappointed so far!

Not a great experience. From the minute we arrived hotel staff were not friendly or helpful. Concierge didn’t know how to book a taxi. Queues at check in and check out were a joke. The hotel room was basic. We had an issue with the aircon. One lady did help but said that they checked the air con and it was working. Although it was blowing air the air wasn’t cold and it wasn’t filling the room. Our room was below the dining area so all we could hear in the morning were chairs being dragged across the floor. Also the aircon seemed to be pushing out smells from the kitchen so our whole room smelt of fish. The cleaners didn’t clean the room properly. Nor did they bring us clean towels when they took the dirty ones so we then had to wait 30 minutes for towels to come. A suite for 4 people only had two cans of water and once they were gone we had to call and ask for water every time. This is not necessarily a cheap hotel and I believe water and towels should be the bare minimum. Trying to contact anyone via the phone was not possible they do not answer. Oh and to make matters worse when we plugged one hair tool and two phone chargers in the room the circuit tripped and electricity cut out for the rest of the night. The only saving grace was we had plans to be out most days but if you’re booking this to make the most of the facilities I wouldn’t recommend. Do not stay here!! It’s literally faulty towers 😂

I felt it was important to share my experience after a disappointing stay at Hyde Hotel. From the moment we checked in, things started off on the wrong foot. The receptionist we dealt with was unexpectedly rude, which really set a negative tone for the rest of our stay. We had booked with certain expectations—early check-in, a possible room upgrade, and a €100 food and beverage credit. None of those were acknowledged when we arrived. While we were told our room wasn’t ready yet and asked to wait, we noticed other guests who arrived after us being checked in right away. Once we finally got to our room, we realized the air conditioning wasn’t working. I reported it immediately and was told someone would come to fix it. Despite following up twice, no one ever showed up, and the issue was never resolved during our stay. The experience by the pool didn’t help either. When we asked for towels and a spot to sit, we were told that the sunbeds by the pool were all reserved and cost €70. The free ones were far from the pool and completely exposed to the sun, which wasn’t ideal. The biggest frustration came with the food and drink credit. We checked with staff twice and were told clearly that the €100 would not be deducted from our €200 deposit. Based on that, we went ahead and ordered food by the pool—€89 worth. But during checkout at 5:30 in the morning, we were told there was no note in the system about the credit, and we were only refunded €102 of our deposit. No explanation was given, and we were left confused and honestly, a bit cheated. There just seemed to be a complete lack of communication among the staff, and no one really seemed accountable for anything. We booked this stay thinking it would be a premium, relaxing experience, but it ended up being stressful and disappointing. When we looked at reviews before booking (back in October 2024), most were glowing. After staying ourselves, we now understand why recent feedback has taken a turn. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend Hyde Hotel after this experience. I left feeling frustrated and let down.
