Dreams Corfu Resort & SPA

Were gratefully moved here expediently by Jet2 after the horror that was the Valmar hotel, we were so pleased. Dreams truly is a 5 star all inclusive resort and we will absolutely be back.

Having stayed at multiple Dreams and Secrets resorts in the past, I had high expectations for this trip — but unfortunately, this resort fell far short. From the moment we arrived, things felt disorganised and underwhelming. The entire property feels grubby and dated, lacking the polish and upkeep you’d expect from a supposedly 5-star destination. One of the most frustrating issues was the restaurant booking system. The resort app was completely non-functional, and no staff explained the procedure. We only found out — by chance — that guests were expected to queue in person early in the morning to book. To make matters worse, we had a truly awful experience at the Barefoot Grill. What was supposed to be a simple lunch turned into a disappointment — a dry veggie patty thrown onto a plate with no bun, and a pile of greasy, limp chips. When we raised our concerns, the staff were indifferent and offered no resolution or apology. It’s clear that guest feedback is not taken seriously. While I’m usually understanding and open-minded while travelling, this experience made me question whether I was even staying at the same resort featured in the positive reviews I’d read. It’s not cheap and this resort is not worth the money. Save yourself the frustration — there are far better-run Dreams and Secrets properties out there. This one needs a serious overhaul in both service and facilities before it deserves any luxury label.

A Wonderful Stay for Everyone! We are a young couple and had an incredible holiday at this hotel and couldn’t be more pleased with our experience. The facilities were top-notch, the food was delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Our room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable. Check-in was quick and seamless, and we especially appreciated having our luggage taken care of while we relaxed with a welcome drink. The beach was absolutely stunning, and we want to give a special shoutout to the blonde waitress working there (we didn’t catch your name, unfortunately). We’re not usually beach people, but we ended up spending most of our days there because of your outstanding service. Thank you! We highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering a stay.

Firstly the positives. Location, 2nd to none on Corfu. Beautiful grounds and wonderful views. Excellent customer care and service throughout the hotel, especially from Konstantinos (guest experience), who went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay. He arranged special treats for our anniversary, and nothing was too much trouble for him. Jim (food & beverage), and Elena (not sure about spelling, poolside drinks waitress) were both exceptionally pleasant, helpful and very hard working. They are all major assets for the hotel. Food was excellent in all restaurants. A very good selection in the buffet restaurant, some of which was cooked in front of you. The quality of food in all restaurants was excellent, although somewhat limited in a few of the a’la carte restaurants. Housekeeping, again was excellent, everywhere was clean and tidy, and continuous throughout the day. Could not score a 5 because the drinks menu was very limited, 1 brand of local beer, and only 2 choices of white wine is not how the hotel advertises its ‘all inclusive’ package. Sleep was poor, as it was impossible to have the air conditioning on, as it was so noisy. There were also disturbing noises from the bathroom and outside (maybe an air-con unit) which continued all through the night. Lastly, the reception bar area was cold, uninviting, harshly lit, and did not feel welcoming or a comfortable environment to sit and enjoy an aperitif etc. It lacks soft furnishings and a luxury image. Some considerable effort needs to be made regarding the design, furnishing and finishes in this area and the balcony outside, as it is the face of the hotel and the first impression guests get, which certainly isn’t luxury 5* more 4*. Overall though, great staff, excellent food, lovely grounds, great location with possibly the best vistas on the island, and the quaint little town of Gouvia on the doorstep. I would recommend to family and friends.

Great stay with all the usual refinement you would expect of Dreams. Great service and a special mention for Jim, a great host and nothing was too much trouble. Good facility and exceptional food and wine choices, restaurants served a good choice of food and a special mention to the preferred club which offers another level of service.
