We travelled as a family with two young children and, regrettably, found the overall experience disappointing. Despite a seven-night stay, there was only one evening of organised entertainment, and almost nothing suitable for young children. Aside from a film night- which began at 9:00pm and featured Mamma Mia, clearly too late for children, there were no engaging or age-appropriate options. A kids’ disco was mentioned, but staff gave us the wrong time and restaurant location during the day, so we missed it. We later heard it was virtually empty, likely because most families weren’t informed correctly. In general, staff seemed poorly briefed. We were repeatedly given conflicting or unclear information regarding dining, entertainment, and facilities, which created unnecessary confusion throughout the trip. There were no suitable dining options for children before 6:30pm, aside from room service, which we preferred to avoid, as the rooms were dimly lit and not ideal for mealtimes. We were told food was available at the splash pool, but only cakes and ice cream were offered- not appropriate for young children needing a proper meal. The buffet restaurant also had several stray cats freely roaming among the tables inside and outside. When we asked for one to be removed from our table inside, as our son was terrified, a staff member told us to move, as “the cat likes that spot.” It was both unprofessional and unhygienic, particularly when dining with a two and seven year old. Although the beach is beautiful, the hotel provides far too few loungers for guests. As a result, most people end up sitting on the sand among large groups of locals and tourists, directly in front of the hotel’s beach area. It felt more like a crowded public beach than a private resort. The lack of security only added to our discomfort, especially with young children. There was also a Nudist part of the beach a stones through to the left of the hotel loungers… The hotel itself also felt unfinished and poorly maintained. Corridors and rooms appeared incomplete and were consistently dusty, which detracted from the overall experience and standard expected. To make matters worse, there was simply nothing to do at the hotel during the day. Other guests we spoke to had hired cars just to escape the boredom. There was no atmosphere, no daytime programming or activities, and very little to entertain children or adults alike. Finally, the airport transfer arranged through the hotel was disappointing. The car seat provided was broken in to four pieces, and we were told it wasn’t the hotel or drivers responsibility to assemble it. Eventually, a staff member helped us put it together, but this should never have been our issue. We also specifically requested a van but were sent a minibus - an uncomfortable and frustrating end to an already underwhelming stay. While the location holds potential, the lack of organisation, poor communication, and absence of family-friendly amenities made for a disappointing experience. We are unlikely to return.

We had a fabulous stay at Domes of Corfu, our holiday exceeded our expectations! It is such a beautiful and peaceful location! Yes, the beach area does get busy, but it didn’t feel too crowded. The beach is so clean and the sea is beautifully clear - so amazing to swim in. There are lots of sun loungers around the pool area (the most comfortable sun loungers I’ve ever laid on!) and you don’t have to get up early to get one. The food was lovely, especially the buffet breakfast and Meze, the Greek restaurant by the sea. All staff we met were friendly and helpful. The Haute Lounge was definitely worth going for, we used it a number of times each day. Overall a great hotel that we would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Loved our stay at Domes. Great service, beach at doorstep (Sandy and award winning) and good food. Gym was well equipped. Enough options for lunch/dinner in hotel or nearby. Pool was never too busy. No issues in getting dinners on beach. Evening entertainment was ok.

Comfortable rooms with excellent facilities. Very good restaurants especially Yasoi. Attentive staff. A very enjoyable stay, a great resort for families.

I want to disappoint everyone who is looking for an outstanding service and balance between price and quality! Paying almost 5000$ (HB) for a week stay (1-8 July) and what did I get: Pros: 1. Sandy beach, no pebbles, crystal water, perfect for kids 2. some friendly staff like hostesses Rafaela and Rose 3. No loud animation and music 4. MEZE Restaurant - great service, the restaurant manager and her waitresses were attentive, our family enjoyed, thank you, girls ;) Cons: 1. Huge/Massive MINUS of the hotel - Public beach for ALL tourists!!! Just imagine - drinking your nice cocktail and observing people laying down on their towels alongside with their huge sun umbrellas, two lines of tourists, SAFETY? well, we were swimming and had to watch our bags all the time! yes, 5* hotel with a Marriot reputation cannot do anything to make the beach actually Private!!! You are on a PUBLIC beach and all you have - your free sun-beds! By the way, these NON guests were using hotel's showers all the time! 2. Waiter service, in fact, absence of this service. Yes, in a 5* hotel Domes NO ONE is pouring coffee in the morning, yes, you need to go and make it yourself. Dinner time - NO ONE is offering drinks or water! Please let the guests wait untill your staff set up and clean the table after previous guests, most of the time you have to sit at the table and smell chemicals while a waiter spraying it on a table. Waiters are slow, unfriendly and inefficient, literally, we could not leave cash tips because all them were lousy. 3. ROOM SERVICE - Awful, Worse ever experience in my life!!! Ordered three times, wait time - 1 hour during lunch time, seriously? The last time the waiter forgot to bring us folks and knives, we called but no one came back so we had to eat our food with our hands!!! Room service in paper plates, lazy approach! 4. Lunch restaurant - awful food and presentation 5. FOOD - Sometimes it was ok, sometimes it was tasteless, I had an impression that you have different cooks. Breakfast - tasteless, unfriendly staff, first hotel where I could not ask for ''MY OWN Omelette", No salmon, disgusting stale croissants. However, the pastries during dinner time were perfect. 6. BEACH TOWELS AFTER 10 AM??? Helloo!!!! Its summer time. All in all, the hotel is not worth its money and definitely cannot recommend it to anyone, shame on Marriott group.
