In heart of the city good location comfortable bed beautiful roof terrace good views breakfast is basic but good coffee fruit eggs I felt very safe here secure the bad things staff quite ignorant apart from Maria and hector there great the lift is slow and very busy red ceilings not a good look for me not relaxing I’d avoid the place there are many more places local that are relaxing neutral and genuinely caring staff this is a honest opinion march 23/3/2025 I was there a week

My partner and I had an absolutely amazing time at Dave Red Athens. From start to finish, the staff couldn’t do enough for us. We arrived after an early flight and were greeted with an ice cold lobby and a smiley staff member; both were very welcome (it was 30 degrees Celsius outside)! We were allowed an early check in, which we were very grateful for. The room was spotless, and equipped with everything we needed. Our room was serviced daily by the housekeeping team - who did an excellent job. Every morning, we had a delicious breakfast served by an incredibly friendly breakfast team. It was a great start to each day while on holiday. The hotel is located a few minutes way from a Metro underground station, so if you don’t fancy the 15 minute walk to the Acropolis, you have other option. Please disregard the reviews about the area being undesirable. You’re in a capital city - what did you expect? It is no worse than the centre of Paris or Rome. While there are some people down on their luck near the hotel, they didn’t bother us once. Furthermore, even if they had, I don’t see how you can rate a hotel poorly because of this. It is not the fault of the lovely hotel team who looked after us to the best of their ability. Would definitely return! Thankyou.

the hotel Dave Red Athens were we stayed the hotel itself gorgeous had no problems but where it's situated is a completely different story. I wouldn't recommend whatsoever if your blonde especially with blue eyes I had a nightmare of a holiday to the point where I was followed everywhere or stared at by a large amount men. I had men taking videos and pictures of me. And vans following me and circling me the area is very deprived where the hotel is and is quite dangerous. I was there for 4 nights and I hardly slept as I felt so unsafe. The 3rd day in we was walking back and a man on a scooter started recording me and following me to the point I started running as I felt so unsafe. And the last night about half 1 in the morning there was people stood outside our hotel room for about 2 hours and we had to barricade the door (which we did most night anyways) but it's just so intimidating for a 21 year old girl. Hopefully this gets seen by the right people as I wouldn't want any girl to go through what I went through.
