TUI Blue Los Gigantes

I booked a back neck and shoulder massage and an hour in the spa using the jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. I was not staying in the hotel and booked before I went on holiday via what's app. The massage was therapeutic and firm which is what I needed and has really helped the tension in my neck and shoulders. The two people working there were professional and welcoming. After the massage I used the spa area which I had booked for an hour. it was a real treat and I had it all to myself. I thought the prices were good value for the quality and experience I had. A lovely way to spend a morning of my holiday.

I wanted to fully relax for NYE so booked a 50 minute massage in the TUI Blue Spa - as a guest (I was staying elsewhere). Greeted by a pleasant lady who told me her English wasn’t great. I tried to explain that I wanted to my massage firm - she didn’t understand this alas. The room was set out lovely and nice relaxing music, alas thats where the plus’s end. The room was so cold, despite my having 2 towels on. I was literally shivering. Also the bed was uncomfy, it had metal bars going across it. That combined with my massage being pleasant but not firm (which I needed) - for 65 Euros I was disappointed. Then when paying it took over 5 mins for the card machine to work. We just spent a relaxing week at the TUI Blu. Los Gigantes itself is quiet, so it's not the best place if you want nightlife. The hotel has a nice sea view, and the food is good with plenty of hot options. The two pools are nice, and we easily found sun beds. The food and drinks from the Pool Bar are tasty and reasonably priced compared to outside bars. The staff are friendly and attentive. Our room was spacious, with plenty of hot water in the shower. The best rooms face the sea; we had a top floor room with a fantastic view of La Gomera and a glimpse of La Palma in the distance. They restock tea and coffee daily, and the fridge fits fresh milk and a few bottles of wine, beer, or water. There are a couple of small supermarkets right across the street. The hotel offers free entertainment activities. We enjoyed a wine tasting, cocktail workshop, and Sangria demonstration, all of which we booked through the TUI Blu app. We also took part in the complimentary Culinarium dining experience. Although the hotel is rated 4 stars, I believe it is more of a strong 3 stars. It meets expectations well but is not quite as high-end as a full 4-star experience. Would I return? Yes I would. It was a nice relaxing week and the hotel made us feel welcome and chilled.
