Monte Feliz

The hotel is set up well, it has a very pleasant and clean reception. The Spar is reasonably priced and the bike rental is well priced. The rooms are pleasant, the tv has a wide range of channels along with tv apps. The hotel restaurant is a bit expensive. The hotel has a wide range of sports facilities from football and basketball to volleyball and paddle.

Nice hotel for sports lovers - Nice reception staff - Great gym BUT - Demanding a deposit of 150€ was bothering considering that I was staying only 1 night and the price of the room was around half of the deposit price What bothered me is that I got charged the amount already when usually with deposits there is a pre-authorisation pending and not the full retrieval (speaking from my knowledge) - Also, considering the rooms are quite out dated, I mean, there are many things one can observe and complain about, but let's keep it quiet for now, still do not understand the deposit And the last part with this deposit is that I had to wait until someone checks, which lasted up to 30 minutes. Quite an unfortunate situation all in all - maybe you should reconsider your SOPs(standard operating procedures) to make the guest feel welcomed and not start with charging deposits as I would have left with the room in my back First experience like this in a Servatur hotel in Gran Canaria and I stayed at 3 different ones, for 1 night only as in this case.

The rooms were a bit shabby but cleaned every day. Just about enough utensils to self cater occasional meals with a 2 ring hob & microwave. The pool was not heated but warm enough for a swim. The food in the restaurant was buffet style & we used it once and it was OK. There are plenty of restaurants in the town approx 300 metres away. The shop onsite sold fresh baked bread & croissants which were lovely for breakfast. Plenty of exercise classes to take advantage of if wanted. There is avis car hire in the hotel but we found it was much cheaper in the town at Orlando.

The hotel has many facilities and is the only sports hotel on the island. However, the week we went there was a camp running and they had pre booked the padel courts for most of the time. It was also impossible to book for any classes that we wanted because even by 8am they were fully booked and you couldn’t book more than one day in advance. Therefore we didn’t actually manage to do any activities at the hotel. The room was ok, it had everything we needed but was dirty. The floor was so dirty that our feet were black. We did get a complimentary meal for the problems we had and the service of Israel in the restaurant and Eli at reception was amazing. Also they don’t tell you in advance but anything you want to do in the hotel, if you are lucky enough to be able to find a space, you have to pay for extra. Nothing except the gym and pool is included. We wouldn’t return again.

We had a great week at Monte Feliz in February this year. Went with Apollo. We booked an upgraded room (apartment) overlooking the old airport and with sea view. We liked the hotel, location, facilities, and activities. It was really cool to be able to use outdoor gym and stretch during the sunset. I can also recommend a guided bike tour from the bike center. Great way to get to know the area! Restaurant was at times a little busy but we enjoyed the selection and quality of the food. It was a little chilly to sit outside in February (it was a little windy) but we still loved every breakfast and dinner (and still sit outside). Very nice and helpful staff everywhere. I really hope to come back to the hotel in the future.
