Mangia's Brucoli Resort

We stayed here to celebrate my 60th birthday. We were very disappointed with the room and even more so with the lack of bars, restaurants in the local village (accessed by a rough unlit track so unsuitable on an evening). Hotel was modernised in 2023 but retains the 1970’s stuccoed building and style and appears dated both externally and in the main corridors. Room was clean but lacked any private outdoor space. Breakfast was good but service at the line bar was slow and the buffet restaurant st €45 per head was the most expensive we have ever eaten in (and does not offer value for money). No acknowledgment by the hotel that we were celebrating a special birthday. All in all a disappointing experience and one we will not be recommending.

The Mangia's is incredible all around resort!!! The service is outstanding, it has 6 excellent restaurants, and incredible views, The Mangia is one of the nicest hotels my wife and I have ever stayed in. If you come to Sicily, this is a must stay for two nights if not longer, over the weekend incredible music. The resort team members are wonderful , we loved our waitress, Isabella!! This pizza-making class was the highlight of my trip! The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of energy thanks to the wonderful translator, Catarina. The chef was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, making the whole process fun and approachable—even for a beginner like myself. I learned how to make authentic Italian pizza from scratch, from kneading the dough to choosing the perfect toppings. Everything was hands-on, and I got to create my own personalized pizza, which turned out absolutely delicious. What made the evening even more special was the live music playing in the background. It added such a joyful, festive vibe to the class. And they were so so talented! If you’re looking for something unique and memorable, this class is a must-do. Perfect for couples, families, or solo travelers—I left smiling and full! Highly recommended!

On arrival all seemed well. However, you require a car as it is very isolated.€25 euros to do a 5mile taxi ride into Brucoli. Trying to get served in the Lime bar is a feat in itself. Staff are rude and will ignore you, it can take a min of 15 minutes to get served. Price of drinks is very expensive, the hotel seems to cater more for corporate guests and private parties rather than your average holidaymaker. A shuttle bus into Brucoli would be helpful.

We went with family for the first time to Sicily and had an awesome stay at the hotel. Rooms are amazing and dinner as well. It’s very convenient if you have the car to get to the hotel. Pools are really great. I also had a very good yoga in the morning and sunsets with Caterina - really recommend to try as the classes happen in the olive garden or other outside great spots. Very nice hotel with pleasant people, suits for couples and families.
