Mimosa Hotel

Overall I gave this hotel 4 stars because for what the staff can control, this is a nice hotel. Staff are professional, the hotel is clean and the pool is clean. The room was available at 3pm as promised. It is within walking distance of a drug store and a grocery store which was great because we walked the Publix and got ourselves pre-made meals. There is a fridge, but no microwave. However there were things that personally didn't work for me and I want to give people this insight, but don't think I should dock the hotel points for my personal preferences. Beach - I had promised my children a hotel on the beach and loved that it advertised direct beach access. It is true that the beach is steps away, but what I did not count on what the IMMENSE amount of seagrass?/plant life that was in the water. It was so thick you had to jump over it to get in the water and while in the water it is all around you. My girls tried it, but it freaked them out and they were upset and out of the water within 2 minutes. That was a bust, so we went to the pool Pool - It is clean, but very small. There is hardly any shade in the pool until around noon or so. There are loungers, but not nearly enough to accommodate the amount of people staying at the hotel. We were in the pool for about 2-3 hours before someone left and I could get a lounger. Beds - I am someone that loves a good comfy and fluffy bed. If you like firm mattresses, then this is the place for you! However, for me it bordered on almost painful to sleep on the mattress. Rooms - They have a very modern feel to them. They are stark with just tile on the floor. Being close to the beach and with cleanliness issues in many surrounding hotels, this makes sense. However, for me the room felt like a highly upgraded jail cell. The walls of the hotel do not feel solid and sound proofed. They feel hollow and I could feel every vibration of the people walking down the halls and in the room above me. So again, if you are like me, this hotel may not work for you. If none of the above things would bother you, then I think you will enjoy your stay.

This hotel is very clean and comfortable and has its own beautiful private beach with umbrellas, chairs, towels included with the resort fee. A rooftop breakfast is a delightful and delicious experience. You can order amazing food and drinks from onsite restaurant Kalypso Beach to have poolside or beachside, or eat “in” at their charming open air restaurant that overlooks the pool and ocean. The staff here are very friendly and attentive, speaking several languages and knowing most guests by name. Everything you might need is within walking distance for a wonderful beach vacation. Cute eateries, like Heart Brunch which I also highly recommend is across the street as well as many others reasonably priced places to eat or drink. Walgreens and Publix just up the street for anything you might want to have in your room, which does have a refrigerator. You can also easily take the bus, or Uber/Lyft to Biscayne Bay for boat tours, restaurants, shopping or to South Beach for some nightlife among many other nearby places. This is in a very safe and quiet part of Miami which was important to me while traveling solo. I highly recommend this hotel and will be back again very soon!

I'm always welcomed by name. The staff is very accommodating, but Vivian truly stands out for customer service. The room is clean and comfortable. The on site restaurant has a great, varied menu. I've never had a bad meal, and the prices are fair. You cannot beat the included beach chairs and umbrella if the pool bores you. I need to be in Miami Beach often and the MB Hotel is always my first choice.

We are here now after escaping our original air bnb we had booked which was rank! Booked at 11 arrived at 12 and Vivien gave us early check in no extra cost. It's a small hotel but this is what makes it great as you feel you get a more personal experience. Rooms fine,no view but we just strolled out and we're on beach in seconds. Beautiful beach with hotel sunbeds Lots of restaurants and 24HR Publix in walking distance Breakfast was amazing....ceaser salads ,Greek salad,fresh pastry, fruit ,yoghurt,bacon ,frittata,pancakes ,hash Browns.Very good. Pool nice although we just used beach Recommend Norman's for beer and food over road. I'm not sure what name of handsome breakfast guy was but he was great! Grey hair! I would definitely come back here

Great location, great vibe, amazing customer service - above and beyond!!! Clean room, vey nice pool, and restaurant by the pool great for any occasion!
