I’ve lost count of the times we’ve stayed at the Pez Espada, from the cheapest rooms to the Junior Suites and I would go back tomorrow. The staff are fantastic , reception, housekeeping , waiters , Frankie’s bar staff were all wonderful. This time we stayed in a room facing the pool, side view of the sea. I did think the room is looking a bit dated now but honestly cannot complain about comfort and cleanliness. Our housekeeper was fab and the room was spotless everyday after her visit. We thought the food was really lovely , plenty of choice , nice and fresh and hot. I do think that there needs to be more than one person cooking omelettes and fried eggs at breakfast as the queue was too long and I didn’t bother after the first few mornings. However , there was plenty of other delicious things to eat. We were quite touched that the Head Waiter Angel, recognised us and always made sure we were ok. We don’t do hotel entertainment so I can’t comment on that but enjoyed many a drink in Frankie’s , chatting to staff and other guests. We’re getting on a bit now so will be making sure we visit the Pez Espada as many times as we can , while we can. Ps. Love the Pez Espada smell ( if you know , you know )

We visited Hotel Pez Espada for our family holiday in May this year for the 3rd time after previously coming here in 2024 and 2018. Each time we came here we enjoyed our holiday and this always gave us the desire to come back again. Unfortunately this year will be the last time we come back. On the whole the hotel is as always clean and presentable. Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. Pool area has plenty of sunbeds with nice grass areas to sunbath. The first gripe we had with the hotel was its eagerness to close the pool at 6pm. This is despite the fact that temperatures were still very hot at this time of the day and people were still very much enjoying the pool areas. Never really seen a hotel close its pool that early especially when it doesn’t even open until 11am!! Another issue we had was with the children’s pool with us having to keep asking for the sprinklers to be turned on by the lifeguard, which he clearly found a massive inconvenience! Children were in and out of the pool all day and every time there was a quiet period in the pool they turned them off! Odd behaviour, which I have never witnessed at other hotels. But the main issue surrounding the quality of the hotel and its general decline is without doubt the food. The selection choices particularly at night were so so poor! With this hotel only offering a half board option and only having to cater for two meals per day (breakfast and evening meal) you would imagine the kitchen staff would have plenty of time on their hands throughout the day to create a buffet choice to blow their guests socks off? We had three children with us and several nights they had to eat just chips as the selection was so limited. A lot of hotels we have stayed at have had a decent selection for kids such as pasta’s etc but none of these were offered. They did serve pizza one night and another they had bacon cheese burgers which were near enough cold! We just found that these aspects ruined what could have been another lovely holiday at Pez Espada!

Both my wife and I were both looking forward to another week at the Pez Espada after a great stay in 2024 . We arrived midday on 01052025 ,got through reception and then went to our room 405 ,which looked out onto the staff car park and bin area, you could just see the beach from the balcony. So far so good ,nice meal in the restaurant at night , on the Friday it was a chill out day bit of walking about, coffee, and a tapas midday, another nice meal at night in the restaurant. Saturday was a TUI trip to Marbella and another small town nearby , loads of expensive boats , cars and food ,back to hotel for a rest then down for evening meal and a drink . That’s where our stay started to go wrong as on Sunday my wife went down with sickness and diarrhoea and I followed with the same symptoms on the Monday , we were both really bad , could not eat properly for over 4 days ,no alcohol as on medication , got to the Wednesday evening before leaving and I was still bad and taking a packet of Imodium to make sure we got on the plane and back to Derby. We were both looking to have another holiday looking at the sites and tasting good food turned into a bad experience which was not to hotels fault .

Stayed in May. Hotel is fabulous, staff very nice and friendly. Stayed on a jnr suit and would recommend especially due to the Gold Room facilities. Restaurant and food all very good and always hot. Would 100% return and recommend. Pool area lovely and plenty of beds available.

Check in quick, lovely room with pool view. Powerful shower and nice comfortable bed with duvet option. Direct access to the beach and a chilled grassed area around the pool. I’m not normally one for hotel entertainment on a night, but the team of people who put the Michael Jackson show on were excellent. The hotel decor had art decor theme, and not everything is new with some bits back in fashion having been there for years. Loved the black and white prints. Breakfast was lovely, well set out and chilled. Parked the car easily outside. Good location can walk to everything.
