Sunscape Coco Punta Cana

The staff are the absolute best!!! Especially Zoila at the Kaleidoscope Restaurant! Best breakfast and lunch buffet on the resort! Sit close to the entrance to the left to be in her section. I went every day for breakfast and lunch! Loved the experience ❤️

Starting off, we arrived late at night hungry and were happy to be able to eat at a pizza place open until 5:30am on the resort! Our next days were great, all of the staff were amazing! They always greeted us and the entertainment staff was always loving and fun! Special shout outs to ‘Chocolate’, ‘King All Inclusive’ and ‘Ginger’ for always making the best of our trip! Richard in the sports bar is amazing as well, always trying to make everyone laugh and have fun on your night out. ‘Chocolate’ taught me and my girlfriend how to dance together and we enjoyed having him around as he is always trying to liven up your day and is super funny. The food was great too, the fruits were the most delicious fruits I’ve ever had at any resort. The a la cartes were all amazing as well with amazing foods. The bars were all great but the lobby bar is by far the best on the resort with the best mixologists and best drinks you can get. The beach is beautiful although the water is a bit deeper and not light blue and clear but that’s okay it’s still warm. I am halfway through my trip now and am glad I came here! Definitely worth the money in my opinion. Thank you to all staff for the amazing experiences!

Nicolas is the best at Sharks bar! The heat cocktails! 5*! Go and check this bar out………………………… für die deutsch est is die beste! Miglior barista a sharkys pool bar. Se passate un po di tempo a Sunscape venite a trovarlo. En Français c’est premier!

Lovely hotel entertainment staff incredible! We loved chocolate he was very welcoming and fun. Some of the bar staff were not as friendly but some were good. All in all we had a lovely stay but the fact we came for my 40th birthday let the hotel know in advance and the name we was booked under as they asked yet we received nothing so it could of just been a normal holiday felt like hotel wasn’t to bothered! Not easy to book restaurants on the app that your asked to download so had to keep going to help desk and also the room key cards continuously needed updating as they stopped working on a daily basis this meaning another trip to reception each day. Overall we did have a nice stay but not sure we will be back.

I did a lotttt of research when planning our trip as I wanted the best deal possible while still finding a quality resort, and this resort exceeded my expectations! I was also worried reading other reviews, but I promise you this resort is great. We stayed for 7 days at the end of April. As soon as we arrived, we were escorted to an exclusive lounge and check-in area and had pina coladas handed to us. We were told that since we booked through Expedia, we were upgraded to the exclusive Sun Club free of charge (which other reviews mention happened to them as well). Let me tell you, the Sun Club alone may have been the reason for such a great experience. I would consider paying for this upgrade in the future if it were not to be included. -It is child-free (my partner and I travelled as a couple) -You get access to an exclusive lounge for Sun Club members which was inside our villa, so very close. The lounge had great AC and delicious snacks. -They offered some deals (we did not use them) but coupons for the spa, lobster meals, and vouchers for the casino. -Access to an exclusive pool. It was very calm, no kids allowed. -Exclusive Kalidescope Buffet. This came in handy as we tried to go to the main buffet a few times but there was always a line, whereas the exclusive buffet had plenty of space. -Exclusive beach area, which made it much easier to find a spot on the beach (again, adults only) -Room service was included as a Sun Club member -I enjoyed that all the Sun Club amenities were on one side of the resort and all the family/children activities on the other. Sun Club or not, the service at the resort was wonderful. The cleanliness was great (though if you're looking for a perfect 5-star North American standard this may not meet it), awesome housekeeping. The wifi reached almost everywhere and worked well. Everything you had to know about the resort is on an app they have you download, which was weird at first but soon became very convenient. You use it to book restaurant reservations, order room service, etc. Your room came with a mini bar that could be restocked as well, really convenient for drinks. Food: So delicious and so many options!! We loved the restaurant options as well, specifically Chopsticks was our favourite due to the Teppanyaki/Hibbachi! The fact we got a free hibachi meal and could book it as many times as we wanted was awesome. Many bars and great drink options! We did not go on any excursions or leave the resort so I cannot speak to that, but the resort is along a long road of other resorts. The local area around it did not look the safest (I say this as a Canadian) despite the shops and stalls, so I would be cautious if you're looking for that. CONS: I had a great experience at this resort and these reasons would not stop me from coming back, but if I had to address any negatives it would be the following; -dirty beach. A lot of sea moss would wash up on the shore every day, and although they used a machine to try and collect it daily, it would be worth having people maybe rake it in the mornings. We didn't swim in the beach for this reason, a bit disappointing but the pool made up for it. -limited shade. This applied to both the pool and beach area, which is inevitable at a busy resort, though still inconvenient. I will say if anyone has concerns about airport transportation, I believe the resort can offer transportation (though we did not use it, so not sure). Right away when we leave the airport, people are trying to escort us to the taxis and tell you "Uber doesn't work here" (it does). The taxi drivers were a bit predatory/come off strong as they do in most developing countries, you should not pay more than 20-25$ USD between resort and airport. Considering what we paid, and the quality of the resort, service, amenities, food/drink, pools, etc and especially free upgrade to Sun Club, we had an AWESOME deal and our experience was worth more than we paid. Our experience in general was wonderful, no matter the cost. I would definitely consider returning to this resort should we ever return to Punta Cana.
