We spend a wonderful vacation time in Hyatt regency Phuket. Hotel itself as good as other Hyatt. The most enjoyable is the people here. From the receptionist , golf car driver, restaurant server, kids club teachers, and so on. Everyone in this hotel always gives us lots help with smiles. Thank you~Kwan, Milky, Marat, Flora, Ting nung and many many I can’t remember the names. This is one of the best service hotel 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Had issues with the room and the pool of the hotel. The room had roaches in it (one dead just sitting on the floor of the room, another popped out of the shower while I was in it). The pool has lots of hidden steps and one of the people in our travel party pretty badly twisted her ankle on one of the steps. The lifeguard was great the moment the incident happened but the later follow-up from the hotel was beyond poor. Overall felt the resort lacked the cleanliness (roaches), quality of amenities (lack of a lap pool / place to swim laps), and customer service of a five star hotel. This is maybe a four star hotel if the roaches are dealt with

Unless you're getting a terrific deal and are willing to put up with lots of noise and an overrun hotel, forget this place. It is hard to tell from their website but the hotel is situated on a cliff and it is a very steep ascent to the buildings where the hotel rooms are. The steepest is the Club Lounge which is high up on the cliff and can only be accessed by many steps up. The Lounge is tiny for such a large hotel and overrun with guests. The breakfast was an equally overrun affair with no seating in the air-conditioned section. It was run like a canteen with no service or any attention to detail. There was even a bug that came out from the coffee machine. I believe the hygiene to be sub-par and unacceptable. The rooms are spartan and quite old. We had a Regency 2 bedroom suite with only 1 bathroom. The twin bedded room had no windows, only a door onto the shared bathroom. The king bedroom was on the other side of the bathroom. There was a large window from the bathroom giving onto the King bedroom thus emitting light into the bedroom. In addition, as the bathroom wall separating it to the rooms has some wooden slats, you can hear all the noise from the bathroom. So there is little privacy between the bathroom and the bedrooms. As we required another bathroom, we got another regular King room which we had to descend through a vertiginous staircase. There are no elevators that I could see in these buildings so unless you have a street level unit, it will involve quite a few stairs. The access to the buildings and the hotel facilities involves golf carts and they drive these at a breakneck speed. I was concerned about safety especially since there was 2-way traffic on these very narrow paths. And many 3 to 5 point turns on the cliff side... And the noise of this place... Since the buildings are spread out along the cliff, there were people walking up to their buildings while talking until early in the morning and buggies whizzing by bringing customers back to their rooms. There is also precious little noise insulation between the rooms with us hearing the doorbell ringing from the next unit. If you are sensitive to noise, this is NOT the place for you. Finally, the staff and especially the customer service agents are not there to help and could care less whether you have World Of Hyatt status. They only seek to justify and to argue with the customer. Everything has to go according to their rules and practices, doesn't matter what you as customer want. Having complained about the lack of service and the unauthorized full payment charge of my credit card upfront, I received no less than 4 emails on the customer agent insisting that it wasn't so, then that it was a misunderstanding, and finally just plain heckling and insisting on having the final word.
