L’accueil est impeccable le service offert ainsi que les employés est remarquable. On trouve tout dans l’hôtel on s’y sent chez sois. Peut être modifier l’horaire du Check out pour 15h. L’hôtel RiU est agréable pour un séjour.

Review Rui The staff at the Rui were all excellent. All the reception staff were amazing, we had a very warm welcome with a drink on arrival which was a nice touch. The speciality restaurants were great. The steak grill was a particularly nice experience. The food quality was very good, if you like fish you will be especially happy! There was lots to do in the hotel. We used the kayaks etc. We also went to the nightclub. The beach was lovely and clean. Every single member of staf was smiling and genuine. Nothing was too much trouble.We loved Senegal the people were very warm and welcoming. We did 4 trips 1. We went to the village, markets and enjoyed a boat trip into the mangroves. The lunch which was included was incredible. 2. We did the bush party night. This was such a great experience and I would highly recommend. Again the food and wine were excellent. 3. We went to the lion ranch. TUI does not offer this tour so we went with Malik a private guide who was fantastic. He can be found at the market next to the beach. This was an incredible unmissable experience 4. The safari followed by zip lining which was also great . All the staff who accompanied us on the tour were lovely too and so helpful. My only criticism was the drinks the hotel did not offer Prosecco or Carva which is strange for a 5 star Rui . There was also no proper/fresh orange juice at breakfast.

We spent two weeks at Riu Baobab and left with mixed feelings. There are definitely some things to love about this resort but also a few major issues that really need addressing. First off, the staff were lovely. Almost everyone we interacted with was kind, polite and made an effort to be helpful or courteous, even when there was a language barrier. Their warmth really stood out and made a difference to our stay. The food was generally good for an all-inclusive. While it became a little repetitive over two weeks, there were some real highlights… the seafood was especially tasty and we actually found the Japanese restaurant better than some reviews had led us to expect. The steakhouse à la carte was our favourite overall. The Italian restaurant didn’t quite hit the mark, though the lemon meringue pies were a pleasant surprise! Where things really fell down for us was the condition of the hotel. For a property that opened in 2022, we were surprised (and disappointed) by the level of wear and tear. The pools in particular were in bad shape, with tiles coming off daily and large sections left bare. The water often looked dirty and in the largest pool, we regularly saw black debris floating. Sadly, by the end of our stay all of us ended up with cuts from the pools. We were told these were isolated incidents, but after speaking to other guests with similar stories, it clearly wasn’t just us. One time, our child was bleeding quite a bit and no staff member came to clean up the blood or enquire where the incident happened which was quite disappointing. Our room had similar issues: mould in the bathroom, scuffed walls and towels/sheets that often had stains or holes. Our cleaner was lovely and did her best, but the room overall felt tired and in need of a little TLC. Power cuts were another recurring problem. They became more frequent as our stay went on and often disrupted the WiFi, air conditioning and even caused dirt to be pushed back into the pool water when the pumps restarted. The beach is naturally beautiful, but unfortunately, it’s affected by a steady flow of rubbish washing up from the sea. Despite this there are constant attempts to clear it away when it washes up but the litter is a constant presence in the water. The resort is also quite remote, so if you like to explore, you’ll need to plan for excursions. A couple of smaller things: the tea and coffee facilities in the room were only restocked once during our stay and the mini bar only included water which is refilled every other day. Not a huge issue, but not what you’d expect from a five-star hotel. To top it off, I came down with a bout of food poisoning on our final full day. This resort has real potential. The staff are doing their best and the setting could be absolutely beautiful. But the lack of upkeep and attention to detail really took away from what could have been a relaxing holiday. With proper maintenance and a bit more care, this place could be fantastic and if those changes were made, we’d happily consider coming back.
