Overall the resort was great, very well kept the workers are all out working and up-keeping the place all day long, did not go unnoticed, great job. We did get happen to get sick one day (some sort of gastro bug) but but we were well looked after. Big thanks to the staff. We loved the entertainment staff - Coffee was our guy!), Meloso and BIG BOY (in the house) always made sure we had a good time. I highly recommend doing the beach yoga. Stunning beach. Big thank you too CJ (my guy!) who helped us with our excursion snorkelling and a private family boat party, lots of fun! 10/10 must see the rock show, unreal singers and musicians well done everyone. The rooms were is good condition and we were happy overall.

We travelled Oct 27 to Nov 3rd. For our package we had the Subclub swim out room, king (family side). We were in block 16, room 16105 to be specific. Check in: was fairly slow, luckily there were only 3 people ahead of us. We were then directed upstairs to the subclub area. I found this pointless as the guy checking us in did not tell us anything about the sunclub perks or the hotel for that matter... it was very brief. It was basically here's your room key, and out the door. I had requested a crib in the room upon booking, I had the request clearly marked on my account on Air Transat. The hotel claimed there was no request on my file. Luckily, we were still able to get a crib. They were fairly prompt in sending it to the room. The room: it looked as described in the pictures. The bed was super soft (not something we prefer) but I did love the fullness of the pillows. I did not like the bathroom set up, as there was no door, and only a glass frosted door for the toilet. It was awkward, to say the least. Our room did have ants in the bathroom... for the most part they seemed to be contained, so it wasn't too problematic until they discovered my infants coconut oil. The family swim out area is between the 2 buildings, and it causes everything to echo. So, with screaming kids (and their parents) at all hours of the day, it was not enjoyable. This is the first swim out that we've ever stayed in where people did not have proper swimout-etiquette. People acted as if the entire pool belonged to them, had their floats all over, throwing balls around... it was just a terrible experience. The pool was barely maintained. There was constantly garbage floating around, and it was cleaned very briefly in the middle of the day. At one point, and the last time I used the pool, I was the only one, and saw housekeeping on the 2nd floor dump their mop water off the balcony and into the water. That was enough for me. The rooms are near the main road and beside some club, so you hear bikes and music regularly. It seems their clubs end fairly early so that was a relief (around 12-1a.). The A/C in our room worked for the most part. However it just constantly blows cold air, either low medium or high, rather than maintaining the set temperature. With an infant, we would turn it on when leaving the room so it would be cool when we returned. We relied on the fan for overnight, because even on low it was too much over a period of time. Housekeeping- we leave $5 US per day... after the 4th day, we stopped leaving anything. They did not clean the rooms. The one day, she only half made the bed (pulled the sheets up but left the pillows off the bed). They did not sweep or mop. However we did always have plenty of towels. I did not like housekeeping coming to our room 3-4 times per day to let us know they'd be coming later, or to see if we wanted towels. Not faulting them, because I understand Spanish is their language, but we found it hard to communicate with them, and often times they'd just up and leave lol. We got to the point of putting the DND sign on the door to avoid waking up the baby. I didn't understand the purpose of coming to the door so many times... it almost seemed suspicious. Food- we found the food pretty decent. We have nothing bad to say. I do wish the buffet was open for dinner... this was the first I ever experience the buffet not opening for dinners (other than 2 days a week). I enjoyed the room service option... I just wish you could include drinks with your orders (no coffee for breakfast). This feature came in handy for having an infant. Beach- we did not like the beach. The colour of the water seemed fine... I understand they can't control the ocean. However, for a private area on the beach, they should be cleaning up the shoreline as it was not appealing at all. Drinks- I was disappointed that they didn't have baileys to make mudslides. I also didn't like that they did not portion the alcohol, and we had to ask for them to stir the drink. The only Pina coladas I had that tasted properly came from the steakhouse and Italian restaurant. I do not like that the hotel does not give bracelets. We got hassled but security multiple times asking if we were guests because we went for a walk on the beach. I cant comment on the entertainment because it was minimal. Many nights it was cancelled because of the weather. However they did put up a tiny haunted house and things for Halloween night. On weekends the hotel fills up with locals. It was from being a quiet week to complete chaos over night. The buffet had a line up to get into, the buffet ran out of plates... it just seemed like the staff wasn't able to handle it all. I found myself annoyed with guests more than the staff. People were cutting the lines, vaping and smoking everywhere, and just obnoxiously loud at all hours of the night (the halls echo, we all know this, no need to be yelling at your pals at the other side at 12am). It just seemed like many guests here lacked proper manners and consideration. Neither of us were even remotely sick. I would recommend bug spray. Though we didn't see any, we did get bit A LOT. That was a first for me. Overall, I would rate 2 out of 5 for the hotel. I wouldn't go back, and I'd only recommend to those who are on a budget. I wouldn't spend more than I did per person (1300). Anything more, is too much.

Not bad but not great. We all got really sick and lost 2 days of our vacation. Also, there wasn’t really much Not to do around the resort and the entertainment was not as good as I’ve seen before. Also, the weekends fill up with locals and the staff definitely favour the locals. We had multiple instances of the staff being downright inhospitable unless they are tipped. We also didn’t find other tourists there to be very social. The food wasn’t bad but wasn’t amazing either. A lot of the bread was old and stiff. Likely won’t be returning.

Such a lovely week spent with family. All of the workers were so kind to us! The entertainment team were lovely bringing fun games and activities throughout the whole day. Special thank you to Meloso, Coffee, Coca Cola and Jose for making our stay the best! The resort itself is stunning and they keep the land so clean and well kept! I couldn’t be happier with my stay.
