Hotel Komodor

We were given a room in the annexe of the hotel which was at a minute walking distance from the main entrance. The room was spacious with a kingsize bed dressing table with a built in wardrobe which also housed a mini safe. The room was very clean and very comfortable with excellent housekeeping service. The room we had was at the back of the building and it was quiet. Air-condition and TV was also available. Restaurant served tasty breakfast and dinners. We were on HB and on days when we had an early start they offered us a packed breakfast which was very nice. Restaurant staff were very nice and accommodating, always at hand to serve. The hotel was located conveniently near a beach also a bus stop for No 4 bus to the old town was also close by. The only disadvantage was that there was no lift and carrying suitcases up the stairs may prove difficult however help was offered at reception to carry the suitcases to our room. Completely satisfied and would book again.

I stayed for 5 nights and the Staff were lovely and welcoming, room was ok but fine for me and my friend as we wasn’t in the hotel much. shower was cold first 2 days, food was nice. Cleaning/housekeeping was nice and helpful. Would come again for a short stay.

Decent hotel on the sea front, room was clean and tidy (room 201) great sea views. Reception staff were friendly and helpful as were all the other staff. Could do with a little update but was pretty good for our needs. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice from continental to bacon, eggs and sausages. No fridge or kettle in the room, we took our own travel kettle. A few local TV channels showing British and American dramas in English. Bus stop outside to Dubrovnik, 5 Euros return. Cable car is a must, beware, it can get very busy in the Old Town. Plenty of bars and restaurants around Lapad with a pedestrian area lined with bars and eateries . Big supermarket (Tommy's) up the road, if you like Aldi style prices. Fantastic boardwalk around the bay to Babin Kuk and on to the Marina. All in all a decent hotel with great views across the bay, people gather on the beach to watch the sunset each evening.
