The best part about this resort is its restaurant ‘Zaafran’. The food here is amazing and we had dinner here all the days we stayed at the resort. Chef Pradeep made the best dishes and the best desserts! My personal faves were dal makhani, pani puri and ras malai. Also Vineeta provided the best service at the restaurant. She was extremely courteous and friendly. Though our experience was great with Zaafran restaurant, the room service wa not up to the mark and it needs improvement.

This was our third Anantara property, having previously visited two in Vietnam. The smaller size means a more intimate experience which was never crowded. The grounds and location are beautiful, the room was large, well appointed and we loved the balcony with ocean view. The restaurants and quality/variety of the food was top notch and I have Celiac disease (requires gluten free) which was accommodated without issue. Highly recommend the Spice Spoons cooking class and full day speedboat tour, definitely highlights of the trip.

The island is a beautiful paradise and the hotel itself is good but falls short of 5 stars for me due to the following issues: 1. Cleanliness of rooms is not excellent. 2. Service levels differ from some staff 3. Forgetfulness by reception staff However, I would like to give a very special thank you to the following staff who made our stay extra special and very memorable: RYAN - a very good sport and always served us in a 5 star manner. We hope he does well. RAMDIN - excellent service and interesting chats about the local elections, weather and everything in between. RAGINEE - service always with a smile first thing in the morning at breakfast. This lady deserves a medal for her warmth and service levels. NAVEETA - as with Raginee, service always with a smile and made us feel very special. Overall the hotel is very good and situated in a nice part of the island.
