Royalton Grenada Resort & Spa

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 weeks and we had an amazing time. Positives: Check in- We did it online, which made the whole process easier as we were in our room relatively quickly. Pool entertainment - The vibe team did an incredible job in making sure that everyone had a great time. We really enjoyed their energy during the different games in the pool as well as some of the evening activities. Room- Our Junior suite in building 19 was perfectly located, spacious and modern and all sockets except 1 usb port worked. Shower worked well too however the pressure on the rain shower could have been a bit stronger. Staff - Everyone was very polite and pleasant from reception to restaurant, maintenance or bars. Daily restock- No issues having our fridge restocked except a couple days where we had no water. They had plenty of water in the coffee shop so it wasn’t a big deal. Gym- Very modern and the staff were very nice. Beautiful beach - The right side where Grazie has the most swimmable section. Pools - The pool at Grazie was great. We didnt spend any time in the other pool but we loved the games and vibe in the Grazie pool. Grenada Night - we loved both the food and entertainment on Grenada night. The second show they had on Thursday 22/05 is the best I have seen in an all inclusive resort. Coffee Shop - Lovely ice creams including mint and cookie, rum & raisins and coconut. Bars, towels and chairs - Both the pool and beach bar were open during our whole stay so no issues getting drinks. Also plenty of towels and chairs available in both pool and beach at all times. Locals visiting - We heard that a group of local kids that had passed their exams were gifted a pass to the Royalton pool, which we thought was a beautiful touch. They also had some local families during Mother’s Day which was really great too. We heard that a family complained about the local kids however it didn’t bother us at all and it was beautiful to see. Cleanliness - Facilities were overall clean including communal toilets,pools and grounds. Negatives: A la cartes - Food was very poor in both the Indian and French. Italian was also not the best. Also long waits for food to be served. Food options - We are not vegan/vegetarian, however if you are, you will have very limited options. We were happy with the different meats and fishes, however we felt like there could have been more options to cater for guests with varying food palates. Entertainment - Evening shows were a bit hit and miss. Additionally afterparties ending at 11pm (latest) everyday was a bit dissapointing. I understand it is not a party resort ( which we are happy with) however we felt like it could have been extended until at least 12am on days such as Thursday, Friday and Saturday when they have more guests. Lack of staff in the buffet/restaurants - We sometimes felt like there wasn’t enough staff to deliver a great service and staff were struggling to do the basics, meaning that we were unable to tip many of them as they would disappear prior to you finishing your meal or wouldn’t have the time to have any interaction. I believe that more staff are needed in the restaurants/buffet to help build a relationship with the guests as they were struggling many times during our stay. Areas needing repair/renovation - TLC work is required in some areas including the toilet near the buffet or the lounge in the martini mix bar. Special mention to the following for going above and beyond: Gherson Martin (Stitch) , Dante, SMA (junior)and Kedina from the vibe team, as well as their manager. Kelson and Ronisha from the Royalton fit. Giovanni, Meia, Gamal, Jay and Lyndon at the bars and Deleon, Alisia, Davidson, Elizabeth, Shalom and Pinky in the buffet/restaurants. Would we return? Yes, however we would avoid during high season unless they address these issues.

I spent two weeks here with my boyfriend from 10-24th May. We had an absolutely fabulous time! We have stayed in other Royalton hotels and like the brand and how the hotels run. Whilst this hotel wasn’t completely like the other ones I have to admit it was a nice hotel with some very lovely people. In terms of things the hotel do well, there is a nice list. The main asset of the hotel are the vibe team, even though the hotel wasn’t busy they had a nice crowd at the Grazie pool and managed to get us involved in the activities, as a result we then participated more in the evening entertainment too. Stitch, Dontee, Kadina and Junior really made me feel comfortable and had me smiling the whole holiday. The Grenadian night at the restaurant was a highlight for me, I loved tasting local food and getting to see how proud the staff are of their country. I wish we could have had more Grenadian food but I understand that the hotel wanted to cater for different palates. The beaches were stunning! The one to the right of Grazie is less rocky and the waves were more gentle, there was a lot of space for everyone and we were always able to get a space wherever we wanted to sit. The Royalton fit team were lovely and made you feel like you could join in with anything, our first day we went for the walk with Ronisha and every day after she said hello and asked how we were and when we were coming for walks again. Kelson runs a lovely yoga class and does a really fun aqua fit class. I did the aqua with Jeremy too which was also a lot of fun. On a similar note, if you are vegetarian; food options can be very limited and even more so if you are vegan. The food in buffet needs more labels and I noticed that when asked some of the team didn’t know if the food had pork in or not (this can be an issue for people as I know a lot of people don’t eat pork) I go to other countries to try their food and would have liked to have a bit more Grenadian food on offer every day not just on Grenadian night. On a personal note I have noticed in all Royaltons we just get the same fruit (melon and pineapple) every meal time and don’t get to enjoy the local fruit in season, we were in the Caribbean at the start of mango season and didn’t have any the whole trip! I think the buffet needed more staff, at other hotels we were able to form relationships with the team in the buffet and they were able to get to know us a little, this wasn’t possible at this resort and we wanted to tip the people who looked after us at meal times but they often vanished or were incredibly busy serving other tables, I would say more staff would make the current staff’s jobs easier. All in all I had a lovely holiday and was very sad to come home to the UK because I had so much fun. I can’t wait to come back!

Great trip. Butlers Deshona & Quaver were excellent. The always got us anything we needed. Diamond Club is the way to go. All staff were welcoming and helpful. Beautiful island. Would consider again. Food was great and abundant. I have been to other all inclusive resorts , and this is the best food so far.

My first time to Grenada been awesome. I got the opportunity to meet new friends and learn a lot about the island. I did the Aqua Fit class with Instructor Roneisha for the first time and really did enjoyed it. Will definitely be back to the isle of spice
