Great place. Pleasantly surprised of the tennis courts and the professionalism of Leonel. Me and my family played several times with him. Great experience and a professional tennis coach.

The hotel is old and poorly organized. The app doesn't work for bookings. But the tennis court is good and Leonel is a great trainer. Very good and devoted to his job.

Before heading to the resort, I knew that the resort was going through a refurbishment and was also the lowest tier on the Hyatt chair, therefore, our expectations were on the low side. That being said, we had a lovely vacation with a few hick-ups but we tried to not let it ruin our trip. We were Sunclub and we definitely would recommend the upgrade. We had a spacious, clean room with very comfy beds and an incredible view. The upgrade is worth it for the buffet alone. We appreciated that it was small and had better quality food that the main buffet. We ate at the main buffet once and never returned. The al la carte restaurants were ok. The Mexican stood out for us as the best of all. Service was friendly but slow. We were glad that we brought thermal mugs with us. That way we could get a larger drink without going back to the bar as often. The resort did feel over sold. We were forced to play the towel game every morning just to find a chair. 7am everyday for 2 chairs for 4 people and no palapa. Just not enough seating or just over sold. Not sure what the problem really was but ive never experienced a resort that bad for finding a lounger and we travel a lot. Again, grateful to be sunclub and without kids. That area was a little less crowded that the main beach that was a zoo most days. We are Canadians from Ontario and found it interesting that we hardly met any others. Everyone was European or French-Canadian. We usually love the mix of nationalities at a resort but to be honest, we grew tired of only hearing other languages and no one speaking English. It makes it hard to make friends. The beach is incredible. Absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed snorkeling, scuba and kayaking and peddle boats. The colours of the ocean were incredible. It was a really great beach to walk with a lot of natural beach adjacent to it as opposed to being sandwiched between resorts. Unfortunately, my last evening, i stepped on a large shard of mirror that tore open my foot. So, please keep your eyes open to glass and other sharp objects on the paths. We really enjoyed our Spanish lesson with Edmond (I think that's his name...sorry!) and our evening visits with Felix in the Sunclub lounge. Great trip over all. Would return for the right price and if I see that the lounge chair situation improves.
