Kata Palm Resort Spa

L’albergo è bello ma non è tutto uguale . Se capitate nell’edificio blu è praticamente un altro albergo collegato da una passerella. Noi eravamo al quarto piano dell’edificio blu davvero un albergo che meriterebbe due stelle massimo! Stanze vecchie e maleodoranti, lo sciacquone del water non funzionava, le finestre non si potevano tenere aperte per via degli animali (si potevano mettere delle zanzariere) e l aria condizionata fubzionava malissimo e mandava un terribile odore . Abbiamo chiesto intervento su aria condizionata ma nulla. Mia figlia è celiaca non sono stai in grado di riservarle nulla nella colazione . La colazione generalmente dozzinale è poco curata ! Bacon immangiabile .. wafel confezionati , unica cucina espressa le uova, tanta confusione e disordine nel buffet e nella sala colazione . Il personale della reception molto scortese ! Nessun supporto e tutto gestito con fogli di carta (ci hanno chiesto il voucher cartaceo per la prenotazione fatta in line , che assurdità, altrimenti non ci avrebbero dato la camera; ti chiedono una cauzione di 100 euro e devi mantenere la ricevuta perché se la perdi non ti rimborsano il deposito. Ti danno una sola xhiave per paura che la lasci inserita e lasci aria condizionata accesa mentre sei fuori ( che visto le condizioni della camera sarebbe anche utile farlo). Ti vendono un quattro stelle ma la parte aggiunta blu dell albergo oltre ad essere lontana e mal collegata dall’area piscine e dal ristorante non è assolutamente in linea con le stelle assegnate. Le camere si affacciano su un altro edificio con un muro a 50 cm senza vista né aria. La colazione a portar via (a causa di un aereo molto presto al mattino) inadeguata e di le poco un succo un mini cornetto del giorno prima e un uovo sodo buttato così nella busta !

The hotel for us was in a great location - close to the beach and all the shops and restaurants. The pools are the stand out feature of this hotel - one very pretty pool that winds its way round a “ tropical rainforest “, another warm pool for messing around in and a rooftop pool to watch the sunset. Room was large, storage limited but there was a big settee to put stuff on. We didn’t stay in the room so not an issue. Breakfast was a mix of western and Thai food with a reasonable amount of choice. Would definitely recommend and will probably return.

Incredible holiday with family and friends. Cannot fault the hotel, we booked adjourning swim up rooms and they were perfect and authentically decorated. The staff were all Incredibly accommodating and always so welcoming and polite. The choice of pools couldn't have been any better, a roof top pool and bar with beautiful views, then a swim up lazy river style pool perfect for a float around, kids especially loved the waterfall feature. Another large pool that's always lovely and warm again with a swim up bar serving drinks, food and ice creams. They have 3 small pools one roof top, 2 in the main areas great for the little tots. The location is perfect it's set back off the main road and both left and right of the hotel is a fantastic selection of restaurants, stalls, street vendors, 7/11 and markets. The beach is a short 5 min walk away, byt the hotel also offer a shuttle service, it's clear waters and very warm our kids said it was like a bath. The food and drinks in the area were fantastic and as a family of 5 a meal out was rarely over £20 for the entire family drinks and food included. The hotel is central for all trips we used the hotel trip organiser for trips to Similian Islands, Phi Phi Islands, Elephant Sanctury and our friends the Big Buddha. Couldn't reccomend her highly enough always gave great prices and fantastic service. There is a great restaurant on the beach front that serves both Thai and western foods and has a fire show on the beach at 9pm 3 nights a week definitely worth checking out. Kata walking street market is a ten min walk of the hotel great experience and lots of tasty food available. Don't be put off eating in the markets we can honestly say some of the tastiest food we had eaten ! Overall the hotel was over and above what we had hoped for. So much so we are booking it for our parents for 2026 and hopefully ourselves too !
