This tour’s one for history fans. During a trip around Nuremberg, you’ll get up close to some of the city’s oldest sights, from relics of the Holy Roman Empire to World War Two political centres. You’ll kick things off with a coach trip to the Nazi Party Rally Grounds, an 11-square-kilometre area that was used by Hitler for mass meetings between 1933 and 1938. You’ll stop for photos at the biggest Nazi building left standing – the Congress Hall – before setting off to see the old city walls. They’re over 800 years old, and you’ll follow them to the Imperial Castle, Nuremberg’s centrepiece attraction. Every German king and Holy Roman Emperor stayed here at one point, and you’ll have a chance to follow in their footsteps during a wander around. Don’t forget to head up the tall stone towers – the views of Nuremberg’s city centre are something else from up here. When you’re done, you’ll round the tour off with a visit to the market square, a five-minute walk away. Here, you’ll be able to make a wish at the 14th-century, gold-gilded fountain.
