You'll learn all about him during a guided tour of the palace, which has an intriguing collection of artefacts about him – he was a renowned conservationist, a man ahead of his time. And you'll also be able to take some selfies at the white marble pavilion where lovers say, ‘I do'.A winding and scenic drive away is Valldemossa. Stroll the plant-fringed alleys and maybe visit the Charterhouse. Classical composer Frédéric Chopin stayed here for a winter, and it boasts period drawing rooms and a leathery library. And there's enough time to stop for a coffee in a local family-owned café.
