Cairo's Highlights Tour from Luxor with First-Class Train Tickets

You'll discover the beauty, history and culture that fills the city and check out its many incredible monuments.Start with an evening pickup from your accommodation in Luxor to the train station and get on the night seating train. Drop off at Giza train station after an overnight journey and get welcomed by the representative of the local operator and your Egyptologist. Feel the atmosphere of Cairo City as you head to Giza Pyramids, the last remaining wonder of the Ancient World. Now, it is time to stretch your legs and enjoy a lunch buffet onboard a floating restaurant on the River Nile.After lunch, you're in for a treat with the next stop at the Egyptian Museum. With over 100 exhibition galleries inside, it's home to the world's biggest collection of Egyptian artefacts. Wander past statues, objects, and relics that'll give you the inside scoop into the daily life and religious practices of past civilizations from thousands of years ago. Then drive back to the train station and take the night train back to Luxor, followed by a transfer to your hotel.

- Please note that you'll gain access to the pyramids area, but the entrance fees to get inside the pyramids (Cheops, Mykerinos or Kefren) are not included. The tickets available are limited and must be purchased on-site, so access is not guaranteed. The adult entrance fee (12+ years) for the Cheops Great Pyramid is around EGP 1500 and EGP 750 for children under 12. The adult entrance fee (12+ years) for Mykerinos or Kefren is around EGP 280 and EGP 140 for children under 12
Know in advance:
- Hotel pickup service is included. Please provide your hotel information, email and phone number at the time of booking. The local operator will contact you 24 hours before your tour date to confirm the pickup time
- This tour is available in shared and private options. The price of the private options is the price per person in the group. Single travellers who want the private option can choose the option (Private Tour). The 6-people private group is open to a maximum of 15 participants.
- Tour duration and pickup time are simply guidelines subject to change due to operational conditions. Please expect a duration of around 36 hours for the complete tour
- Return train tickets are included in the price. Please note that train schedules are subject to change or delay for reasons beyond the local operator's control
- Dinner and breakfast are not included. If possible, you may want to arrange a take-away dinner and breakfast box with your hotel reception before the tour date
Remember to bring:
- Please keep your passport/ID with you during the tour
- Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes and bring sunglasses, a camera and money for tipping and shopping
- Please bring your own snacks and water with you on the train. Food and drinks are also available for purchase on board
- Overnight in a seating train can be uncomfortable, so please bring a neck pillow, eye mask, a blanket and/or heavy clothes
