The Aeolian Islands are a collection of seven volcanic beauties, so impressive they've bagged a place on the UNESCO-list. On this island-hopping tour, you'll take in two of the best. Sail over to the pastel-coloured port of Panarea, well known for the jet-set crowd and enjoy an evening cruise around Stromboli, famous for its glowing lava flows.Skirting the northern shores of Calabria, seeing also Sicily, we'll sail into the Tyrrhenian Sea and set course for a duo of Aeolian gems. Potter around well-preened Panarea, whose pretty streets are lined with whitewashed houses. Then, we dock in Stromboli. You can dip into a few eateries or grab a drink as the suns sets before hopping back on the boat to see its volcanic crater and, with luck, the magical ‘Sciara del Fuoco' lava flows that light up the night sky.
