[Note] This is a re-submission of my original review (Aug 2023) with the addition of photographs that I wished to share; apologies for the delay, but 'life' got in the way! Hoping that this review will be useful to those thinking about visiting the resort in 2024 and also hoping that all the hotel staff are keeping well. I stayed a week at the Dreams Resort in Corfu in mid June 2023 with my wife and adult daughter; very sorry for the late review, but I owe this to other reviews that I rely on and I am hoping that it will still be useful for those considering this resort and also to thank the staff for their hard work and hospitality during our stay. Overall Summary / Recommendation ---------------------------------------------------------- Overall this resort is recommended if you are looking for a relaxing holiday (mostly staying in the resort) in a beautiful location on a beautiful island. The rooms are comfortable and cleaned daily; the hotel grounds are clean and well maintained, although a bit hilly so a steep climb back from the beach. There is a main restaurant serving buffet meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner), a-la-carte restaurants, two pools and several bars serving quality drinks and snacks. There is a small but well maintained beach area with sunbeds. There is entertainment in the evenings in an outdoor area or in the main lounge area. The hotel is not perfect, there is room for improvement across several areas, more trained staff are needed at busy times and more areas with air conditioning on hot and humid days as the fans in the lounge area are not adequate. Regarding excursions, there are bus/cab/boat options to Corfu Old Town but for other ‘excursions’ you will need some transport or book something through your Travel Agent. However, the main positive of the resort is its excellent staff, we found them all to be friendly, hospitable and hard working and they all try to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They all contributed to making our stay special and memorable. For more detail; please read on … Facilities /Room ------------------------- We stayed in a family room (Room 639) in the main hotel building; the room had a sliding partition which separated the sofa bed and ‘sitting area’ from the main room. There was a small balcony with a view of the basketball court, a side road and some greenery. The room was not spacious but adequate for 3 adults, with a fridge with water/soft drinks/beers (used items replenished daily), kettle, coffee machine (not used), a safe and adequate storage. The bathroom facilities were ok and thankfully the air con / fan worked fine as this was needed all the time. The beds were very comfortable and we had no issues with sleeping during our stay. The TV needed to be fixed a couple of times by a technician but we only watched a bit during the late evenings. We had some treatment at the Spa which was pleasant and relaxing and there is a gift shop opposite reception. Location -------------- The resort is located in a beautiful bay with scenic views across the water and mountains in the distance; looking more like a lake than the sea but we enjoyed the views from the main lounge and restaurant areas throughout our stay. The grounds are well maintained with greenery, bright colourful flowers and afforded pleasant walks down to the small beach area and jetty passing the Spa Area, and bungalows; it is a steep climb back as the hotel is on a hill. Food and Drink ------------------------ We were all-inclusive (standard, not ‘preferred guest’) and mostly had our meals at the main World Café restaurant serving a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food served at the buffet is catering to a wide audience, mostly European / Mediterranean and the overall quality could be improved but there was sufficient variety for us to find something suitable each day. Breakfast was usually the best meal of the day; wine was available at dinner and other drinks could be requested via the staff. The only ‘complaint’ we heard was long queues if you wanted a fresh omelette or freshly grilled meat or fish as there was limited staff at these stations. There are several a-la-carte restaurants, I believe they are now all bookable via an app; but we only ate (mostly lunch) at the Italian restaurant (La Trattoria) which had decent pizza/pasta, great service and a good location next to the main lagoon pool and a bar. We found the drinks to be a good standard and enjoyed a variety of cocktails served across the many bars and restaurants on the resort throughout the day and evening. Entertainment ---------------------- There is an ‘animation’ team but they were fairly low key and we only saw some yoga sessions and aqua aerobics sessions in the main pool area, and some of the team also participated in the evening entertainment. The evening entertainment was either in the outdoor area or in the main lounge area. The outdoor area was a stage and chairs on a sandy area which was uncomfortable and you will get bitten by insects. The quality of the entertainment was ‘mixed’ with ‘The Boom Box Collective’ a band that played 70’s and 80’s pop music probably the best of the bunch. In the lounge area the saxophonist on Saturday was very good and we enjoyed joining in with the traditional Greek Dancers who were accompanied by the excellent Bazouki player. Excursions /What to do ------------------------------------ Although the ‘back’ of the resort is located in a beautiful bay with scenic views; there is not much at the front of the hotel, just a few souvenir shops and restaurants and nowhere to walk to; I believe there are nice beaches/places not far away but you will need transport. We took the No 7 Bus Line from across the road (Opposite the Petrol station) into Corfu Old Town for 2.30 Euros/Person each way; a cab into Town is 25 Euros each way. Alternatively you may take a boat return transfer to Town (on certain days) with Spiros (jetty at back of hotel) recommended by some guests; best to book in advance. The old Town is well worth a visit, with architecture highly influenced by Italy/Venice with scenic views from the old fort, narrow alleyways lined with shops and plenty of restaurants serving traditional Greek Food. Staff and Management ------------------------------------- We found all the staff from the reception, management, guest relations to the cleaners, porters, bar/restaurant staff throughout our stay to be all helpful, friendly and hospitable and made our holiday very special and memorable. Apologies for getting any names wrong or forgetting anyone, but we would like to commend the following staff in no particular order: Kate at the Spa, Constantina (Italian Restaurant), Elizavet and the two Marias (Main Restaurant), Varvara, and two Georgiyas (CoCo Café), Christina (Main lobby bar), Guest relations including Raphael and the tall gentleman who helped us out of the lift, the nice ladies at Reception, the gentleman who checked us in and last but not least Katerina Pigi (Manager, Public Relations) who was very helpful, always asked how we were doing and organised our enjoyable boat cruise on the ‘Koryfo’ (‘Cruise-Me-Up’) around the islands. The staff were kind enough to allow us to take photos of and with them for our personal memories (although happy to share them with this review if the Dreams Management allow this). If it is in our fate, we would be happy to return to the Dreams Resort in Corfu for another visit; wishing everyone at the Dreams Resort in Corfu continued success and hope that everyone stays safe from all the terrible forest fires. Hopefully there will not be a repeat of these forest fires in 2024.

This was the perfect option for our first holiday as a family of four! We could fly direct to Corfu from our local airport and less than a 20 minute transfer time! Firstly THE VIEWS 😍 beautiful scenery all around the resort and the decor is lovely too. We started off in a bungalow but upgraded to a family suite and I’m SO glad we did. The suite had so much space, two full bathrooms and a separate living area so we weren’t all trying to sleep in the same room! It also meant we had separate access to the balcony and not sneaking past sleeping babies! Food was great! The all inclusive buffet had a great selection but we definitely preferred the a la carte restaurants (unlimited bookings during your stay). The hotel was so family friendly. I really wanted to highlight the baby/children amenities thats Dreams Corfu has available 🚼 Baby cot 🚼 Baby bath 🚼 Changing mat 🚼 Baby monitor 🚼 Potty 🚼 Buggy We didn’t request but also available are 🍼 Bottle sterilised 🍼 Bottle warmer Although we took the double buggy (definitely required for airport) we only really needed a single while there. So it was perfect for us that they offered this at no extra charge. We also found the double buggy hard to fit through our room door unless collapsed and some paths around hotel better suited for a single buggy 👌🏼 The kids club was small but had enough to entertain my toddler (he was too young but we could stay with him). There was also an outdoor play park and two good small kids pools to choose from 💦. All restaurants were family friendly with high chairs too 😇 Would I recommend❓YES 👍 definitely for families - maybe not so much for couples. I have lots of videos on my instagram @eastontravel709

Briefly, the location and hotel are ideal for a family vacation with a toddler. We all really enjoyed it, especially our son Albert, who was always the centre of attention for the staff, and he loved it. We visited this hotel for 10 days in early September 2023. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed, and after check-in, the concierge took us to the bungalow by car. The area is very well-maintained with paved paths and landscaping around them. Our preferred bungalow with a sea view was in the second row of bungalows, but the view was really beautiful, especially every morning with sunrise. Additionally, being in the middle of the area away from the main walkways provided us with peace and privacy on the balcony. Cleaning, towel replacement, and evening minibar replenishment with a chocolate bonus occurred every day. The bungalow is very well furnished and clean. Besides the minibar in the closet is also absolutely baby-friendly for a 1.5-year-old toddler. The hotel underwent renovations and is modern and cozy. The resort is situated on a slope, offering beautiful sea views. Especially from the dining area. The dining area is spacious, and we never had trouble finding a seat at any time. The service is very attentive and friendly. The food, themed each day, was delicious, with a wide variety to choose from. There are also additional themed restaurants with excellent food, but reservations are necessary. During free time, we were at the beach or by the pool. Beach service delivered drinks from the beach bar, and towels were provided, so there was no need to bring them from the room or bungalow, although a beach bag with extra towels was prepared. Both the beach and pool area were well-maintained and clean, as was the entire resort. The beach, artificially constructed with stairs leading into the sea, had a natural end, providing a perfect space for small children. The beach is in large bay oriented towards the mainland of Greece, resulting in small waves, ideal for kids. The water was clear without algae. Close to the hotel, there is a bus stop with direct connections to the main town of Kerkyra, a 15-20 minute ride to the centre. For other excursions on the island, we rented a car from the rental agency located at the hotel lobby, and everything was perfectly arranged. The car was like new. The staff at the hotel is truly warm, very attentive, and always smiling. One feels like royalty in this palace. Pleasant conversations always took place, and they were ready to help with anything needed. We thank each and every one of them! You made our vacation absolutely unique! We look forward to returning for another vacation!
