Residence Englo Vacanze

Englovacanze znajduje się na wzgórzu - możesz korzystać z całego miasta wspaniały widok. Trzeba przyjechać przed 10 p. m. W przeciwnym razie nie dostaniesz klucz do pokoju. Na to trzeba pokazać wszystkie paszporty z całej rodziny, w tym dzieci lub wysłać zdjęcia z wyprzedzeniem. To daje ci nieprzyjemny nastrój przed osiągnięciem miejsca docelowego. Wydaje mi się jest częstą praktyką we Włoszech, dzięki czemu można poczuć się jak bandyta. Byliśmy w wielu miejscach w Niemczech, Austrii, Czech, gdzie tylko jeden identyfikator było wystarczające. pomieszczenia są przestronne i czyste. Jednakże, wymaga renowacji. Personel jest przyjazny, zwłaszcza Patricia. Krzesła i stolik na balkonie jest rdza i nieco nieprzyjemnie. Stosunek jakości do ceny (PLN 130 za dobę) jest przeciętny.

Residence Englovacanze, formerly a nice play to stay, is need of a bit of TLC. Clearly evident from the faded sign at the front gate. This being my second time to stay here I was expecting the standard to be average/ good as before but I'm afraid they seem to be letting it slip. The cost of our ground floor apartment was too expensive for how very basic it was. No finishing touched before the next people arrive. Chairs were turned up on the tables on entering (not the nicest first thing to see), not the cleanest, no cleaning items i.e. dishcloth/ tea towels. Two single beds pushed together for a double very uncomfortable. When asked if room was available with proper double bed they had nothing available as fully booked. Unfortunately the bathroom was the worst, in bad need of maintenance, specifically the shower with a shower curtain blowing in, had to stand on it while in the shower to stop it blocking the drainage hole (the shower in the pool changing rooms was much nicer!). Exposed holes on the wall under the sink. Large gas meter in the corner very unpleasant looking. Damp wall in the hall with dehumidifier beside it with sign in the bathroom telling you to empty it every two days (!!). As stated in previous reviews the pool was Freezing even on hot days. Gardener was there two days of our 7 night stay cutting the lawn with a very loud strimmers. The covered seating area needs to be washed down more often including the yellow plastic canopy which is very dirty and poor looking. Friendly staff on reception willing to give advise on restaurants etc. if approached but didn't ask how our stay was upon leaving. WiFi does not extend to the apartments/ bedrooms had to move to the reception area for it. Sorry, €900 excluding breakfast was far too expensive for all of this! There is much better value out there for much nicer places. Returned home a bit deflated. Won't be returning.

If You want to have a nice holiday and enjoy the beauty of Riva Del Garda you better steer clear of Residence Englovacanze as much as possible. I read some reviews about this "Residence" and it looks that "the Director" of this property must have deleted bad reviews....... Anyway, just want to share my view on this place. Firstly - Cleanness - the room I stayed in was dirty, never cleaned, cold (19'C) though spacious, in swimming pool 18'C - not possible to enjoy - so no wonder that the swimming-pool was always empty; Secondly - VIew - well, I had a view on parking - so in my opinion it couldn't be any worse...; Thirdly - Staff - far from being friendly (actually 1 person who worked in the morning and was friendly, she spoke great English and was nice, but the rest, incl. "the Diector" she was really very rude, not helpful at all.;-( - I highly recommend her to change a job.....As I travel quite often, I can say that for this money (about 900 Euro) for week I expected a better place , conditions etc.........I will NEVER AGAIN stay in "Residence Englovacanze". So if You want to have a nice time in Riva Del Garda You better find a different accommodation.

The place is located on a small hill which allow you to see the whole village. The room are clean and the price is more then fair! The stuff are really friendly and helpful. The garden of the hotel is so relaxing and we really enjoyed our time on the grass in front of the lake view.

Hmm, where to start? We had room #7, a two-bedroom apartment for our family of four. We pay about 870 Euro for 7 nights - no breakfast included, and booked via Opodo. The direct booking price for one week is 900 Euro / night. Our apartment was not front- / lake-side, but towards the mountain. The room where the kids slept was actually a living room with a sofa turned into a bed. No two adults could sleep there. Our bedroom was towards the courtyard (North-West side). We were freezing in August. Staff told us that they are not allowed to heat during the summer. We asked for a electric radiator - which was brought to the room quickly. Fine. The next day, staff told us that the 'Director' asked to charge us a fee of 10$ / night for it!! Then we had some dirty towel and on the third day we started wondering why the room is not made up, and why towels are not replaced if on the floor. Staff told us that due to our travel agency (Opodo) booking, we are entitled to only one cleanup effort - at the end of our vacation week ;-) BUT: If we were PRIVATE guests, i.e. directly booking into the hotel - we would be entitled to have bedsheets and towels changed every 3 days. That sounds better, but to us still appears to be 3rd class. When asking for some new towels, they were offered - against another surcharge. There is no washing liquid or cloaks in the kitchen. You need to buy yourself. We asked for a water kettle - since there wasn't one. We got the ONE that existed in the hotel at the reception. It was dirty - but staff did not care about how this might appear. Then the famous POOL: The hotel takes pride in the pool, but it is small, not well maintained or appealing, and so cold (18-20 C) that one (and kids in particular) can't go there for long, or enjoy it. When asking staff about the temperature, the answer was: "When the sun is shining, it is warm. When not, it's cold". Ha - it's obvious! One of the staff people spoke great English and was nice, but the rest, incl. the 'Director', did not seem concerned about customer satisfaction. We have traveled many places, but for this amount of money and service, Englo Vacanze scores very low on our list of places to stay. Keep your hands off and you will have a better time in Riva. PS: We have been in Riva at least 15 times in the past.
