I spent the day at the Preskil Island Resort, we were given a warm welcome by the staff. We had lunch at the buffet. There is a great selection with exceptional taste. The staff during the lunch was very nice and helpful. We then spent the rest of the day by the pool and the beach. The view is beautiful, you see the mountains, island of the Aigrette, and have the turquoise water. The activities there are great, we played ping pong, danced in the pool. Overall I strongly recommend the Preskil Island Resort, for the exceptional food, reception, and view. I had a great day.

This is a predominately french speaking hotel. The setting is beautiful and it has been updated to a high standard. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is the best I’ve tasted in a mauritian hotel although our first day was a Sunday which led you to a false sense of variety available. This is probably because the other restaurants are closed however all food was well cooked and tasty sometimes was a little on the cooler side. The all inclusive is a little confusing there is one evening meal included in the 1810 restaurant and you can go as often as you want to the other one. Lunch was mentioned when we checked in but it was not clear whether this was chargeable or not. The other thing is they make you sign a bill when you have anything some of these have charges on and others say 0.00 so you think you are going to get charged for these things. It does become annoying and there hopefully could be a better system devised. This is where the hotel lets itself down. There is a distinct lack of information on what is available. There is no pack in the room for you to read there are basics on the television about opening times of restaurant and spa but trying to find things out is difficult. We used the spa and the massage was exceptional. I probably would have used it more if i had a brochure in the room to look at what was available. Whilst we were there they brought in a new flag system on the beach which seemed to work well. There was information in a couple of places on what activities were on but it didn’t say where!! Entertainment in the evening was excellent The hotel is great at the moment but has the potential to be fantastic

What can I say ........ just been back a week from this stunning resort after having one of the best holidays my husband and I have ever had! We stayed at the Preskil from the 10-24th September, and when we arrived I must say I was amazed at the refurbishment of the hotel and could hardly get my bearings as it had been completed revamped and was unrecognisable from 3 years ago when we last visited. We arrived early morning about 10ish and were met by the most competent lady named Linda, she was lovely and friendly and checked us in but said that our room wouldnt be available until after 1 pm, so we headed to the bar and got ourselves a drink and sat on the verandah and took in the incredible scenery around us. We went for some lunch in the restaurant about 12.30 and then headed to the guest relations/reception area where Linda said our room was ready and she would take us to it. WOW, what a room it was, the view from the balcony was magnificient, we were so pleased with it. She left us to unpack and get sorted. There were gifts of a cover up for me and a hat for my husband, as well as fresh pineapple and a fully stocked mini bar for us to enjoy, which I thought was very generous of the hotel. The room itself was very modern, clean and fresh, we couldnt have wished for anything better and we were very pleased with it. The rest of the day was spent exploring the hotel and we had a early night as we had been travelling for quite a few hours to get there! The bed was so comfortable and I had a good 8 hours sleep without waking at all during the night. The food in the buffet restaurant was some of the best food we've ever had , there was so much choice and pizzas were freshly made as well as steak and seafood kebabs and I even had duck breast one evening which was delicious. There was so much choice at breakfast too, and I loved the tomatoes on toast with a slice of cheese on top, it was delicious. There were two other restaurants to use, one called Mosaic and the other 1812 which was on the beach. Both needed to be prebooked and we visited the Mosaic 3 times and 1812 once. They were both lovely and had a good choice on their a la carte menu, but to be honest, we were happy enough with the food in the buffet restaurant. All the watersports were included in the AI, waterskiing, pedaloes, windsurfing, water bikes and there was a boat that took you out snorkelling if you wanted to go, which was brilliant. My husband is an advanced scuba diver and he went along to the Dive Centre and met Christophe and his wife Daveena who ran it, together with Dominic. Christophe was brilliant and my husband enjoyed his diving with him and managed to get 10 dives in during our stay at the hotel. He saw many different species of colourful fish, rays, eels etc and was pleased with his diving experience and would definitely recommend Christophe and his Dive Centre. The beach is fantastic, very spacious and plenty of sunbeds for everyone, so there was no getting up early to reserve your beds as there was always plenty for everyone. Jean Dennis, our own beach waiter, kept us hydrated with our gin and tonics and mohitos throughout the day which was great, he is an asset to the hotel and very polite and courteous to all the guests. 3 years ago when we were there we met a beach seller named 'sunshine', I didnt expect her still to be there but had uploaded a photo of her onto my phone, anyway to my amazement on our second day, she arrived on the beach after lunch, she couldnt believe it when I showed her the photo of 3 years ago and said she remembered us. What a lovely lady she is, not a bit forceful with the guests and if they dont want to buy she still stops and chats to them, she has so much time for everyone which is fabulous. It was good to meet her again. The Hotel entertainment was good, although we did miss it a few nights when we ate our evening meal in the Mosaic or 1812 restaurants as we tended to be later. The bar staff were mostly all very friendly and helpful and always quick to see that we had a drink and were happy and enjoying ourselves. The choice of cocktails onthe AI was adequate and I tried them all during our stay but my favourite was the mohito, it was so refreshing. My husband hurt his back one day just getting up out of the seat on the balcony, so the next morning on the way back from breakfast, we called into the Banyan spa to see if they could help. Anyway they were most helpful and advised my husband to use the sauna for 30 minutes then go back at 1pm for a hot stones massage, he did this and it did the trick the next day he was much better and his painful back was ok. We absolutely loved our holiday at the Preskil and would definitely recommend it to other clients wanting to visit Mauritius. The refurbishment is amazing, the staff so helpful and friendly, the food is delicious and the beach is stunning. Linda is an asset to the hotel, and gets any problems sorted out promptly and efficiently. Jean Dennis was brilliant and always stopped and chatted and made sure we were ok. Christophe, who runs the Diving Centre, was amazing and together with his wife, ran a very professional Diving Centre and my husband was really impressed with the set up. Will definitely be back to the Preskil Beach absolutely love the place, everything was perfect, thank you to you all for one of the best holidays we've ever had and see you all again soon x

    Absolutely amazing

The staff are so helpful and friendly. The accommodation is lovely. Food selection is huge and fantastic! Watersport activities are super cool. The entertainment is very special. This was an absolute amazing family holiday. A special mention to the staff at the kid's play area. Very kind and kids loved them! We spent a week at the resort and I would strongly recommend Preskil to family and friends.

    Awesome holiday

Beautiful resort with friendly and helpful staff great value for the price we paid. Excellent snorkeling just of the beach. Great food but had better at other Mauritius resorts. The kids club “Tikoulou Team” are just great. Give us the opportunity to do some activities and we knew that our kids are well looked after as they could not wait to go back. They do create activities with the kids and are so friendly and interactive.
