My husband and I just got back from nearly 2 weeks in this paradise. It does exactly what it says in the title! The food was amazing - we each probably gained 10lbs! Seriously, some of the dishes were near Michelin Star quality! Be sure to book for The Peninsula and XO a day or two in advance if you want to eat dinner there. Food at the Stay bar was fantastic. I strongly recommend the tapas served at The Peninsula on Friday and Saturday evenings. We couldn’t figure out why more people weren’t eating them! Try the truffle potato croquette balls especially - one of the best things we ate there. The dinner in the main restaurant is different each night - you access the menu via your phone. Most nights it is either completely a la carte or half a la cart and half buffet. Don’t forget to check out the refrigerated room for the starters and desserts when on buffet. They also have a comprehensive cheese offering there most evenings. The drinks are fabulous too! All eateries have some signature drinks as well as the standards available everywhere! My husband loved the Tropical Breeze only available at The Peninsula and the Lavender Mist and Whiskey Marmalade at Stay/main restaurant. I loved the Mo Lamem which was available everywhere. Non-alcoholic choice was the Frozen Watermelon. Oh, and breakfast is worth getting up for! Pretty much anything you could want… The resort is dedicated to reducing waste/being eco-friendly and you won’t find any single use plastic. The water bottles are made from plant product as are the straws. The vegan restaurant (The Cove) is not included in the all inclusive, so we did not eat there. There are lots of activities included with the all inclusive but we didn’t actually take advantage. We do plan to return here again when we can do! The private cove/beach is wonderful. There are also secluded (ish) lounge chairs around the cove, but you’ve got to get out there early. Although the resort requests that you don’t hold the loungers for long periods of being away it doesn’t stop some people. However, there are more than enough loungers around the place that you’ll never not find some. We also never took advantage of the spa, but their “menu” appeared comprehensive. The place never felt crowded and I understand there are only something like 62 rooms (give or take a few). There are no children, so the resort is calm and peaceful. I don’t think we’ve ever had such a restful holiday. We went for my 50th birthday and on the night of my birthday I was surprised with a cake with candles in addition to the dessert! The service was wonderful and they have staff who have worked there for more than 30 years. This indicates to me they must treat them well. It can take some time for drink orders to appear so have some patience - it is “island time” after all. All the lounge chairs have “service buttons” and you can get drinks delivered to you. All the staff we interacted with were lovely and truly appear to enjoy working there! They all speak multiple languages. We will definitely be returning here in future!

Belated review. We stayed at this amazing hotel in July 23 celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary. Unfortunately I was ill for the whole of our stay (not related to anything at the hotel), and ended up being taken to the hospital. I am now fully recovered. This is a wonderful hotel with amazing and caring staff. We stayed in a Prestige Junior Suite which was large, light and relaxing. The bed was very comfortable. The double shower was enormous with a great water pressure. We had a lovely furnished terrace which was perfect for an early morning coffee. The chefs create amazing dishes. We had chosen the Premium All Inclusive plan and found it was well worth it. During our 10 days we dined in all the restaurants. Breakfast choice was varied and excellent. It was lovely to have lunch or an evening meal at the Peninsula restaurant overlooking the sea. A big thank you to Meepak for cooking me the most amazing octopus dish. The main restaurant (The dining room) was good for light lunch, loved the tuna burger. The evening meals were great especially when they had the cooking/ bbq stations. The only negative was that sometimes we had to wait a while while it was being cooked. A big thank you to Candy for looking after us in that restaurant. We have eaten in hotel specialty restaurants in the past and also in Japan. We were not expecting much from XO, how wrong can you be. The dishes were beautifully created and tasted amazing. Compliments to the chef and the kitchen team. We were unable to use the water sports due to the weather conditions but it was open every day just in case there was a break in the weather. When hotels say that the swimming pools are heated in their winter months it may be so, they are cold but when Paradise Cove say it they mean it. I have never experienced such luxury in an outdoor pool. The main bar is a good meeting place and the staff were great, especially Ved. A really big thank you to Tulsi who was about to go home when we arrived back from the hospital at midnight. He knew we had not eaten and arranged food to be delivered to our room, big thanks to the kitchen for preparing it. He will never know how much we appreciated it after such an eventful day. Sandhya, Front Office Manager was supportive while I was ill and continually kept in contact. Thank you so much. All the staff are amazing at this hotel from house keeping to gardeners. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately we cannot name everyone. There is one other standout person, you may have seen his name in many reviews. Michael is amazing, he never stops but has plenty of time to chat to everyone. He looks after the beach and pool areas and everyone on them as well as the departure lounge. If you need a drink on the beach, towels or your sunglasses cleaned he is there. As you can see, even though I was ill throughout my stay we had a great time. I missed out on being able to fully enjoy my stay. We have just re-booked for November 24. Can't wait to get back .
