Myself and my friend stayed here for 5 nights. Our intention was to use the hotel as a base as we were close to Palma central about 35 mins on the bus and a 10-minute walk to S 'Arenal harbour with some lovely beaches and restaurants. The hotel itself was very basic but clean and nice décor. However, what really let this hotel down was the RUDE staff. I never leave trip advisors but they had signs plastered round reception area to 'leave a review about your stay', and after the way the reception staff were with us, I felt like I had to. There was no fridge in the room, so on our way back from the beach we would pick up a bag of ice from a local shop so we could have cold drinks in our room before going out. On one occasion we forgot to buy any, so asked at reception for a glass of ice. To which I was told very bluntly 'no'! No apology or explanation, I asked why as I could see the ice machine behind the bar. He told me it was because there was only a small ice machine.. it wasn't small. The next night we had come back from dinner and there was a different man on reception, he was lovely, we asked for some ice to take to our room he was pleased to give us some. I could see into the ice machine when he was scooping it out and there was loads of ice!! The gentleman the first time was just being difficult. On another occasion we had put a 20-euro deposit on 2 beach towels, which we were told we would get back when we return them on the last day. We were staying on the top floor, and there was a flat roof below which is where the dining area was. Our towel fell off the railing when we hung it out to dry, so I took a picture of the fallen towel on the roof below and went to show reception. I was confronted by the rudest woman who sat staring at her computer behind reception whilst I stood there for at least 30 seconds before she even acknowledged me and then proceeded to huff before she asked how she could help me! I have worked in hospitality previously and acknowledging customers is the first rule you get taught. I proceeded to show her the picture and explained what had happened to which I was told she would get her colleague to come down and he would climb up to the roof to get the towel and bring it to us, as she actually said you won’t get your deposit back if you don't return the towel at check out, so he will bring it to you. Off we went to our room, I saw the man take the towel off the roof, but no one came to the room. So, the next day, which was our last day we queried were the towel was to which the same rude woman told me he couldn't find it when he went on the roof!!! Therefore, she was only going to give us half the deposit back. After a back-and-forth conversation with her about the whole situation, she was very flippant and didn't really apologise, so we took the 10 euros and left immediately to the airport. I know 10 euro in the grand scheme of things isn't a lot, however it is the principal that they were bare face lying to us. All in all, the staff at this hotel really let it down. There were more occasions where we were just ignored at reception by most of the staff whilst they all stood amongst themselves talking after us being stood clearly waiting to be seen to. One occasion; my friend had gone to the bar to get us a drink, she must have been stood waiting for about 10 minutes to be served 2 Cokes, whilst there were 2 members of staff sat talking, who had seen my friend waiting! Nothing annoys me more than poor customer service and rude staff. I wouldn't stay here again, but if you go, don't bother talking to the staff and you will have a great experience.

Good value for money hotel, allowed us early check in and gave us a big room. Rooms were clean and comfortable with good balcony and quiet despite being in a bit of a party area. Lovely swimming pool and amazing breakfast. Overall very good experience

Checked in around midnight, we went to our room and the room was so dirty, attached are photos. I was absolutely distraught and disgusted, ontop of that it being so late and tired. We then had to wait to be checked into another room which left us waiting around for ages. My partner and I are cleanly people and after being moved into such an unclean room we found it difficult sleeping in our new room and got up early the next morning to speak to the manger. We were met by a rude receptionist who refused to get the manager and acknowledge my complaint and only took interest in what my (male) partner said. She initially offered us a full refund but then only refunded the remaining nights as we already stayed the night. This was unacceptable as we couldn’t sleep properly at the hotel and refused to have breakfast there due to its possible uncleanliness. We then spoke to the manager who told us to explain the situation but had no interest in refunded us. We wasted a lot of time going through a story of our night to satisfy his curiosity and we were met with “there is nothing we can do” and “company policy”. Why ask us to explain and waste 50 mins of our morning when it wouldn’t have made a difference anyways? Not even a partial refund which is absolutely ridiculous. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel, the staff are rude and managers are unreasonable. Please do not waste your money. The rooms on top of that aren’t even appealing and you might be unlucky and get a dirty room.

We didn’t know what to expect with this hotel as it looked pretty basic but, what we found was a very efficient, friendly, very clean and well run hotel. The rooms had everything we needed except tea making facilities and maybe some drawers. The beds were very comfy with linen changes, the bathroom and shower were great and towel change daily. A small balcony gave a good view of the bay a little distance away and lovely sunsets. Breakfast buffet was available until 1.30 so no rushing and the choice was extensive.but couldn’t get a decent cup of tea!. For the first few days there were quite a lot of young German football fans in the hotel and town which was a bit noisy at times but all good humoured. Overall I would recommend this hotel but would say that Playa de Palma is a resort for younger people and families as the beaches are amazing. The bus service to Palma itself was regular and cheap..€2 .The bus stop was outside the hotel too.
