Le Couvent des Minimes

The hotel is a wonderful conversion of the ancient convent. It is clear that mountains of money, but also tons of taste, were expended in achieving it. The result is sublime: like living in a beautiful château, except comfortable. As for the spa, it is superb, the best we’ve seen (and we’ve seen a few). It would impress a Roman emperor (if there were more slaves). We didn’t benefit from the huge outdoor pool or the terraces, since we were there in winter, but they would be a delight in warm weather. Someone has done a terrific job in assembling and training a rather young staff of charming and intelligent people. From the parking attendants to the receptionists, and from the waiters and waitresses to the exceptional sommelière (Ms. Pauline), there wasn't a one that we wouldn’t happily adopt and take home with us. The buffet breakfast: simply the best (really). The hotel has its own full-time boulanger, as well as a pastry chef. Okay, full disclosure: the coffee could be better. There is (of course) a gourmet restaurant (we can all imagine what that’s like), as well as a “bistro" on the premises. (Fortunately, since the local village doesn’t offer much at all.) The bistro serves mainly fanciful haute cuisine; we would have preferred that it be more authentically bistro-like, with some classic bistro-type food (steaks, daubes, foie gras, magret, confit de canard…yes, maybe even french fries!). It goes to show: even paradise can stand to be tweaked a bit.

Terrible experience. Heavy construction underway. Fire doors slamming indiscriminately causing personal injury. Booked rooms not available. Bullying manager. Extremely overpriced for an unfinished hotel.

The Provence is one of my favorite places specially in lavender season , I have stayed in this hotel few years ago and was an amazing experience then it was closed for renovations , this July I stayed at the hotel in its new look , it was and it is now the best , the architecture and the interior design are beautiful, the rooms are spacious, the service and hospitality are beyond perfection, I highly recommend it

Quel dommage ! Un lieu magnifique et de jeunes gens individuellement adorables pour le service mais nous avons cru à un gros poisson d avril tant les bourdes ont été enchaînées ! Nous sommes arrivés dans un hôtel bondé. Au Spa le monsieur qui nous "accueille " est complètement affolé par notre arrivée en nous grondant presque " ah je vous préviens il n y a plus de place vous ne pourrez pas vous allonger en bord de piscine et vous n aurez que les petits casiers !"( ambiance ...nous sommes gênants alors que nous avons quand même payés 2 chambres à 450 euros la nuit !!) . après le spa dans lequel un monsieur tout nu qui nous donne ses parties régulièrement à voir ( très très limite ) ,nous allons au bar boire un verre ! nous nous serrons à 4 sur un petit canapé et attendons 30 minutes que quelqu'un nous prenne notre commande. mon mari vient donc passer la commande des 4 cocktails au bar et nous attendons encore 20 minutes sans aucune nouvelle. nous sommes attendus au restaurant qu on nous a trouvé en catastrophe en dehors de l hitel et nous devons donc partir sans avoir pris nos cocktails. Nous serions dans un hôtel d étudiants en hôtellerie qui coûterait 100 euros la nuit nous ne l aurions pas mal pris mais là quand même c est très très limite. nous ne reviendrons pas !

Notre séjour au Couvent des Minimes fut parfait. Nous avons vécue une expérience qui marie histoire, charme et sérénité. L'architecture élégante et les jardins bien entretenus invitent à la contemplation, tandis que le service attentionné et chaleureux ajoute une touche de convivialité. Le petit déjeuner propose une sélection généreuse de produits frais. Quant au restaurant Bistronomique, la cuisine y est raffinée, réconfortante et pleine de saveurs ! ( pâte de la tarte au citron faite avec l’huile d’olive de la région, délicieusement surprenant ! ) Je le conseille aux voyageurs en quête d'authenticité et de beauté intemporelle.
