Tel: 0043 5412 66023. www.hotel-lamm.at We were passing through the town and thought we'd try this one as it looked good from outside. We were given a choice of €80 for a double room only, €43 b&b, or €51 half board ("halbpension") with a set three course dinner. Hotel has sauna and steam room which we didn’t try.Free wifi in bar. Big terrace with comfy seating but unfortunately it faced the houses and not the mountain view. Does have a lift. Nice big room. Big window and glass door to gaze at the mountain from your room. Big wardrobe. Hooks for coats. Toilet separate from shower room. Good solid mattresses and pillows. Great reading light next to bed that can be positioned how you want it. Little traffic noise at back. Big garage for your bike and a power wash if you need it. Shared balcony outside your room with lovely views onto valley and mountain range. Had a walk around this upper end of the village. Seemed pretty quiet in the hotel and the area - June is 'out of season'. Did have a café/bar that did a good coffee. We sat outside as it was a bit smoky inside (a number of small cafes/bars in Austria seemed to have not bothered with the smoking ban). Handy Spar supermarket nearby. To give you an idea of prices 1 coke and beer in the bar was €5.60 whch seemed about average for this trip. We opted for half board as there wasn’t much open in the village and the hotel was offering a cheap set 3 course meal. Didn’t even ask us if we were vegetarian, just gave us chicken soup (we think), schnitzel in sauce with croquettes and veg, followed by ice cream. Nice enough and well worth the extra €6 each if you like what they give you. their English wasn't brilliant, but they were friendly.

They had only opened the day before. The room on arrival smelled damp.No curtains at the bathroom windows on 2nd flour.Manager did nothing to help. We had to keep the outside shutters closed for the duration of the holiday just to have some privacy in the very small bathroom.Twin beds were very uncomfortable plus the curtains in the bedroom were not lined.so thin a floodlight outside illuminating the hotel sign above our window kept us awake.I could read a book in our room with the curtains pulled and the room light off,the outside light was turned off at 7AM. Menu.Pork,Pork, more pork.1 broken toaster for 70 guests On Christmas Day the menu said Turkey we all looked forward to a change from pork,we were sat in the restaurant,a waiter walked through carrying a large turkeyon a platter. We all cheered but sadly when it arrived at our table it had turned into a lump of processed turkey..We were told later that the bird we saw,"Was for other guests".

    Bardzo dobry

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful village

This hotel is friendly, clean & welcoming. It is a family run hotel which has been in the family for several generations. The rooms are a good size, clean & the beds are comfortable. The food is delicious, well presented & always served with a smile but the menu is limited to two choices per night. There is a bar which has to be one of the most beautiful & original I have seen, along with a Sauna & Steam room. Whichever part of the hotel you are staying in, the views over the snow capped mountains are stunning from the balconies. This is one of the loveliest & friendliest parts of the world I have been & would RECOMMEND a visit here to anyone.
