Boppard might be famous for its wines, but there's plenty more for this Rhine-side town to shout about. This tour taps into that, and takes you on a guided walk around the historic highlights. It's been a popular settling spot since Roman times, and you can see the remains of a stone fortress from their time here. As you delve into the centre of town, you'll see half-timbered buildings and picturesque squares. The twin-spired St Severus Church and Gothic-style Carmelite Church are perched beside the waterfront. The Electoral Castle keeps up with its picturesque companions, and has a watchtower-like stronghold rising above the town. After you've finished soaking up the scenery, you'll head back to port.
