Fantastic facilities and wonderful attentive and hardworking staff. The design of the hotel and the cleanliness is clearly paramount to Melia and is of a very high standard. Food at the restaurants is sometimes a little too quick when you wish to enjoy an evening meal and chat.

Very clean. Staff were friendly and the hotel is standing up well following its 2023 make over. Suitable for young children. We had a small baby as part of our party and we were made to feel very welcome. Food was nice as were the bar areas. Recommended

We booked the five star hotel because it’s boasted an exceptional luxury experience. The hotel itself is beautiful. The decor is outstanding. But, we are so very upset and disappointed with the level of service caused by the lack of staff and job knowledge, i.e. how to give exceptional customer service. 1– We upgraded our room because we were not satisfied with looking from the balcony at a car park and hotel generators. 2-There was a lack of staff around the hotel area, including all parts of the hotel grounds. 3- You would think when a hotel boast five star, plus luxury that you would receive around the pool service. I.e. drinks served and asked if everything is okay. 4- When asking for drinks at the shack on Monday and Tuesday, we were greeted by an unfriendly girl who didn’t smile once, practically through the wine into a glass and shoved it at me. When I asked for water, she didn’t seem too pleased I should ask for additional drinks, this kind of customer service is not acceptable in a two star hotel, let alone a five star hotel, claiming it’s luxury. The service made me feel upset and that my custom wasn’t important. 5- The coffee machines in the breakfast area were continually unusable. Nobody checks to make sure there is enough milk . I’ve had to get help and waited at least 10 minutes for the problem to be rectified. Only once have we been offered coffee at the table. 6- When we enter any of the restaurants, i.e. buffet area and others, we are never offered a highchair for the baby. 7- The waiter staff never offered a refill of wine. We have to gain attention for our glasses to be refilled. If they left the bottle at the table, this would solve the problem. We are not big drinkers but find it stressful continuously asking for things which should be offered. We had to call back waiters on many occasions when they served a drink, we weren't able to explain fully what we would like before they would run off to do something else. You wouldn't expect this service at five star hotel. Thoroughly disappointed and we would not recommend if you are after good service and a bit of luxury.

The hotel has many qualities which reflect the 5 star rating, there are unfortunately several aspects which are not a 5 star experience and need to be addressed. I always try to be objective with my reviews and not allow subjectivity to influence my review following personal experiences; The following points do not reflect a 5 star hotel, breakfast was at best mediocre with no service whatsoever from waiting staff who were only intent on cleaning table sand not serving or assisting patrons. Removal of basic food items with 90 minutes to go before the end of service 8-50am, No mushrooms , no beans, no English breakfast tea, limited type of croissants, no bowels or cutlery, no cups at the coffee station. When challenged a feeble apology and no support to replace any of the above. Evening meals in the buffet area were a huge disappointment, cold food, meats were pre cooked and then re heated making them inedible, the noodle station saved the day with freshly cooked service. We were fortunate and my first recommendation is on arrival make sure you reserve the 3 independent restaurants on your selected dates and times to avoid disappointment. Also on arrival there was without doubt two levels of service, some guests were shown around to orientate themselves and advised of the free trips organised by the hotel and allowed to book them, we were given the wrist bands and sent off to the room, only when talking to other gusts did we realise that free trips were available. The hotel does have an app and all areas have a QR code at the tables, however I choose not to carry my phone around all day and I was not aware that limited paper menus were actually available. Consistency of staff to meet even service standards let alone 5 star was very evident, we ate at the Italian on one of the nights and meal , service and ambience was excellent and I had no hesitation in tipping all staff involved for making the meal so memorable. We booked to go again several nights later and it could have been a different restaurant, inattentive staff, surly service, long waits , disinterest, no return to the table when drinks had long since been drunk. I would say 60% of the star were delivering at a 5 star standard and the remaining 40% were 2-3 star standard if I am being kind, this was discussed by all guests during our stay and needs to be addressed through senior management training and assessment during service. The staff make or break the hotel and unfortunately our experience was they are not up to standard consistently. The hotel is quite clearly a 5 star standard in build quality and fitments, rooms are modern and spacious and well serviced, the location is commanding and the use of wrist bands as door keys and access to the property whilst serving as the all inclusive standard for drinks was useful. If this was priced as a 3 / 4 star hotel we would return, but whilst it sells itself as a 5 star we would not. I hope that the senior management mange to grip the issues and not brush stroke the reviews as customers seeking a 5 star experience and paying the increased cost will not accept the current shortcomings and return in the future or recommend which would be a shame.

The perfect hotel for families with children. Newly renovated in a fresh stylish way. Many restaurants to chose from and lovely staff. Lots of activities . The yoga and pilates instructor is a wonder woman who takes care of all kind of people from beginners to experienced guests with warm dedication.
